    Phew! Wet rag again!

A delivery I was expecting, for click and collect, hadn't told me it was ready for collection, but was overdue, so I rang them and was told it was there, ready for collection! I hadn't had an email telling me!
What a week for delivery problems!

My sunrise bedside lamp blew the bulb. I put a new bulb in, but it still didn't work, although the radio and clock part did. I didn't have any more of the right bulbs.:(

When I got up, really early, the heating wasn't on, despite the thermostat temperature being lower than the calling-for-heat temperature, and it felt cold. Panic, in case the boiler had gone wrong.
Then mega-panic, because I still don't feel 100% healthwise, and didn't want a cold house.

Had got a letter from the Council telling me that a shed I rent from them had been vandalised, so had to go out at first light to see, then back home to try and phone a handyman willing to come out and secure it for me, panicking in case I couldn't find anyone to come out.

And today I had intended to do loads of practice for a Christmas mini-AmDram thing tomorrow at a craft fair. :(

Anyway, deep breath, first world problems and all that.....
I said to myself, if these three things turn out ok, I shall force myself to start doing that wretched paperwork on Monday, the deadline for which is almost upon me, plus I shall restart Zumba and restart the 5:2.

So, I rang a chap re. the shed from the car after I'd seen the damage, and he said he could come out a bit later and he'd ring me.

So then I went straight to the click and collect shop, got the delivery and some more lightbulbs, then popped to Boots to get some decongestant for my chest, and then to the bank to get some money to pay the handyman with.

When I got back home, joy of joys, the heating had kicked in and the house was warm!

So, I had time for a little rest before the handyman phoned me, so then I dashed out again to the shed, and he inspected the damage, said what he could do to repair it, but in the meantime he secured it so no-one could get into it.

So, after that, I thought I'd pop into the Coop on the way home and get a ready meal. There was a guy in the pavement, half in a sleeping bag. I thought, my stupid problems are nothing compared to his, so I had a quick chat to him, as I thought he must be cold, and asked him if he'd like a sandwich. He said that people had been very kind, and he'd already had two, so no thanks, so I said would he like a cake, for dessert? :D so he said, yes please, and we agreed on a jam doughnut!
So I got my bits, got the guy a bag of doughnuts, (got myself some as well! :rotfl:) and came home.

And am now snuggled in bed, my lamp works, the house is warm, and the shed is secured, with the guy going to repair it properly another time.

Too knackered to practice the AmDram, though!

However! Next week, I am going to have to start the paperwork, the Zumba and the 5:2, otherwise a lightning bolt will strike and frizzle me! :rotfl:

I have had 3 glasses of mulled wine. Littlewing has been bonkers all afternoon and there's still 3 weeks to go!

Diving in here after being absent for quite a while....again.

Having a wibbly wobbly night with my emotions and feeling almost panic attacky right now (Pyxis has been on another thread I post on and will probably guess why), so thought it best to post something/tell someone how I feel rather than holding it in as I usually do.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Hope you feel better soon, Sue.

I just have bought something that I shouldn't have Not that expensive but a gift for littlewing who I have already finished buying for. It's something on her letter to Santa. I know she will like it but she would have been perfectly fine not to have it. I bought it because of how disappointed I have been with xmas presents in the past. Why couldn't I have acknowledged that and not bought it?

Went to sleep early last night so didn't see your post until just now.

I'm so sorry you were upset. :( We can get very protective of people who are being bullied, and indignant on their behalf, but of course, it can reawaken feelings that were thought to have been dealt with. :A
We're all absolutely with you, Sue. You've done brilliantly in every possible way! Please don't panic! You're an absolute inspiration!:T

Hi sue, lovely to hear from you. I hope you're feeling better today x.

I've got loads to do today so in master-procrastination style have managed nothing so far. Been up ages but still not dressed, was supposed to be out this morning and have binned it off.... it's not going well!

Am out this evening and could realy do without it but can't cancel that one. Which means a late night I could do without and getting absolutely freezing. As you can tell.....am not in the best of moods!

I am still a little panicky and in an emotional see saw but I feel better for having posted how I am feeling instead of doing my normal of saying nothing, withdrawing, burying it and then having a crisis later on.

By jove, I think I am actually learning :rotfl:

  • Glad today is better Sue.

After too many busy weekends in a row, I have a carefully planned weekend of doing absolutely nothing, and so far I have achieved everything I set out to :rotfl:. This afternoon and evening will be snooker on the telly :D
