I've often wondered how efficient they really are. I mean, do they get into all the corners? Can they deal with stubborn bits of fluff?
Also, do they do underneath furniture?
I would think that if a room is quite crowded with bits and bobs, it wouldn't work very well.
Has anyone got one?
They don't get right into corners, but are flat enough to go under most furniturefrom what I can gather they're more for "in-between cleans" than major ones.
Mum gets a bit depressed that she can't hoover every day like she used to (I can barely remember to hoover every week, haha!) so I thought it might set her mind at rest a bit.
It would probably help her mind if she took her bliddy antidepressants as well, but that's a whole other story...

Ooh I'd love a roomba but I think DA dog would probably have a breakdown - he doesn't like noisy stuff. Or cleaning for that matter. Whenever I try to clean I get sad eyes and if I dare to move his toys to his bed, I get dirty looks and he'll go and bring them back to random spots on the floor one by one.
I think for your budget an actual roomba is out but amazon has a couple of cleaning robots for under £50 or you could try to find a refurbished one.
((Pyxis)) hopefully it'll sort itself out and the ones who want to improve, including you will form a super amdram faction.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Live traps work for mice, Izadora! They love chocolate and peanut butter so bait the traps with those. Do make sure you close up any holes where they might be getting in, too. When we has mice years ago I used to catch them in tupperware and trot down the street with them to release them by a pond. Thank you for not wanting to kill them, I adore mice! I caught one that was so tiny it looked like a child's toy, it was amazing that something so tiny and cute could be alive.
I love my iphone! It can do everything, it's like a laptop in my hand! It is also really easy to use, I would recommend them especially if you aren't good at technology, they really are so simple.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

It is amazing technology isn't it WaS? So easy to get complacent about how much a smartphone can do, but when you stop and think about it it's just fantastic. Especially considering that even say 20-ish years ago, a massive car phone seemed like the height of sophistication. I'm not sure I ever actually saw a car phone in a car though!0

I must admit, I still can't get over the fact that I can do more on my iPad Air, the size if an A5 booklet, than I was ever able to on my first computer, an Apple Performa, which was the size of a boulder in comparison! And I don't have to plug the iPad in!
Wow!
I mean, look at this thread! People all over the country 'chatting' away almost immediately to each other, with pictures!
You wanna know something? You google it! Pow! There's the answer! (Most of the time!) I can sit up in bed and be on the computer!

I did read that there was more computing power in the early nokias than was used for the Apollo missions.... not sure if there was some artistic licence there but it could well be true.0

It really is amazing how much we can do and how much we take for granted now. I had no idea an iphone could do, they get 10 out of 10 for ease of use, too. I have only used old Nokia's before, I had no idea a smart phone could be so different. Believe me, if my drug-fogged brain can use them, anyone can.
I am also thoroughly enjoying Siri which is the electronic personal assistant that comes with the phone. It is programmed with some interesting responses! It is voice activated and I couldn't get it to close so in frustration I said "Stop Siri!" It replied " I cannot find anything to stop other than believing and I won't do that." I fell in love with it on the spot. :rotfl:Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
