It was so cold yesterday that I did not want to go out to a meal that I couldn't get out of. But we had a really good time.
Littlewing has already got out of bed, opened her advent calendar and got back into bed again. Oh, for a life that revolves around eating, sleeping and playing! They have a concert in the church this afternoon. I can't go but it isn't the main nativity. She will have a great time - she loves singing.
More of my bulbs are sprouting. I am taking great pleasure in seeing the tiny green shoots. It seems so wondrous.
Got 6 million things to do before I get to work and a meeting as soon as I get there, which makes me feel hassled. Then I need to check my lists and get some of the deadlined work done. I had to log on after we got back last night to do something that couldn't wait. (My own fault as I could have done it in the afternoon but couldn't be bothered). Now I have to send another email as I forgot to put a comment on it. Can't wait until I get some time off over xmas.
Decluttered a couple of big boxes yesterday and some other bits and bobs over the weekend. Trying to make space for Christmas as we shall have some family over. More space helps the cleaning and clearing up but this is a concept I learned late in my life!
Have remained remarkably cold free so far this autumn so I am (non scientifically) deciding that the flu vaccine was well worth doing.
I am glad that it is December. Time off and a shiny new year with the winter solstice out of the way is what I am looking forward to.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Happy winter, one and all!
I was lying in bed last night and the most random thought popped into my head: what is the ideal thickness for human eyelids?
(Told you it was random. I guess the ideal is what we have evolved. But why not thicker? I may have to google it later.):heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Haha ww, I love those thoughts that just appear out of nowhere and then keep you wondering for ages.
I've got a to do list the length of the M6 and yet again no IT access to anything I need. The IT infrastructure and support here is an absolute joke (ono, we need you!) Literally stuck for anything to do without this access, and can just feel the list getting longer and longer by the minute.
Also got a horrible feeling that a cold could be on the way - definitely not useful when I have a flute exam next week! That'll be my own fault for thinking the other day that I hadn't had a cold for a while.0 -

I started a Random Thoughts thread in the Arms a few weeks ago.........that would be a great thought to post on it!
If they were thicker, they might be heavier, and heavy eyelids wouldn't do much for the longevity of the species!(I just lurve spiders!)

When I read this half an hour ago I thought "no, you don't!" as I spent all yesterday unsuccessfully wrestling with an IT problem. I hoped it would get sorted out by some stuff I left running overnight. It didn't, but I just found a single line of text on a web page which lead me to how I could reconfigure things to fix it, so perhaps you do :rotfl:.

Calley, you want to watch out messing about on the floor with lively collies; they have been known to, erm, get a bit frisky with humins on the floor! :rotfl:

By the way, I take back, (a bit), my moans about DPD, because I've just received a surprise package from them, which turned out to be a box of Thornton's chocolates and an apology card!
So they had taken account of my emails! :T(I just lurve spiders!)

They could just be hopeless though!
Helpful hint from being on the other side, asking "when will it be fixed?" usually only gets a guess in reply, and serves to delay the arrival of the time when it is fixed.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230
