Ah, but you see, the blackest-black is not like ordinary black.

I've tried to find a video of a pice of crumpled aluminium foil with Vantablack, the blackest-black, painted on one side. It looks just like a black hole.

Black dogs are fine. Blackest-black dogs would look like a dog-shaped hole. There's a difference.





Edit.....found it. Scroll down a bit to the video....it takes a little while to load. It's the best example I've seen on video to illustrate the blackest black.

Despite the foil being terribly crumpled, you can't see any variation in the surface of the crumpled foil painted blackest black.
If it were ordinary black paint, you would.
