Am a bit worried about Flybaby.

She was last on on 30th May, when she was in Mexico, talking about posting pics of the manatees she'd seen when she got back.

    I'm in a clique! It's a clique of one! It's a unique clique!
    I love

  • Pity our letting agent because I happen to like him, therefore he got a frantic babble about the fact I am mentally ill and I cannot handle people in my space so please help! He was lovely and said "You trust me, right? I'll stay here." He also said he manages over a thousand properties and he is used to tenants who aren't well in different ways so not to worry. He is now waiting outside in the car for the plumber who is apparently called Ben, one he always uses and is a great guy. (Still panicking).

Yeah yeah, I know your game, WaS!

Not content with one man in the flat, you just wanted two! :rotfl: ;)

WAS This may sound silly but could you bear to sit in the car and hide there ?
While I'm here I'm sending healing vibes for Millefleur , one step at a time is the way to go . It is worth looking on age uk and similar sites for information if rehousing is likely . Your bb and MFs care team are also ones to involve in finding a way to deal with things if she does need to move .
Want to thank JM for the link a few days ago re treatment in another area . DD has over the years 3 verbal bpd diagnoses from psychs on local health team but none would formalise the diagnosis . She has been unable to access the correct treatment and numerous cbt counselling sessions have helped in some way but will never replace the deep therapy she needs . GP was already starting to look at referral outside the area . We have been told facilities locally are not available due to cutbacks . So I am glad to see the information on that link .
Sending gentle hugs to those who'd like . Pollyanna vibes to those with a sense of doom . Thanks to ONO for information on central light fittings - you've solved a problem , have not been able to use mine since they were fitted without bulbs and fuse blowing - fuses are the old type and the wires are the ones you said need the ceiling box , I watched them being fitted and sparks used a connection block which he hid inside the top of the light , no other work .
Sorry to laugh but your trip to the diy shop gave me best laugh of the day - you sound like me !
Hope you all have the best day you can . Gentle hug to Faerie - hope all is well and a " where are you " to MU who I haven't seen online for a while . hope all is ok , x
    Sorry for long post ,

Hahaha! I am lining them up, Pyxis! I am probably going to burst out laughing when they walk in now and they really will think I've lost the plot! :rotfl:

Polly! Hello! Milliefleur is doing very well, they have her on two hours of physiotherapy a day because apparently sitting still isn't good after a partial hip replacement, she needs to be as mobile as she can. She is more active now than she is at home!

In amusing news WaSp is being referred to as Mr <my surname>.

WaS - I hope all goes well with getting the leak sorted out and that they manage it quickly and without invading your space too much.
  • Quick update, Ben is here. He is young, and bouncy and friendly. (I have made him sound like a puppy, sorry Ben :rotfl:). I feel a little better. Ben and the letting agent are currently removing the side of the bath. I may make pointless updates because it helps me to you all what's happening.

  • Well done, Lambyr! That is ridiculously short notice and taking advantage of you. Have a lovely weekend with E and don't worry about annoying relatives.

I have always liked our letting agent. Some other people who live in this block don't so much because he can be very snappy but I have always understood that he works on a simple basis of if you are nice to him he's nice to you. Ranting at him about problems and telling him it isn't good enough will get your head bitten off, if you clearly explain and ask him to please help he is lovely.

WaS - post away. The letting agent sounds lovely and I agree that most people tend to treat you well as long as you're reasonable with them.

Lambyr - Well done for saying no to your family, that is a ridiculous level of mickey taking!! I hope they don't give you/your mum too hard a time over it.

Sounds perfectly reasonable lambyr (you, that is. Not them, they sound like entitled numpties I wouldn't let through the front door). Hope you and E have a lovely long weekend together.

WaS - your letting agent does sound good. As does Ben (we need a thread puppy!!) Hope they get it sorted soon.
