Oh don't worry about penguining cake talk. It's a lot worse if there's a pic! If it's just cakey words I can skim over them! :A

I am currently eating some greek yoghurt with dried apricots and it's absolutely delicious. I'll pop some in the fort in case anyone else fancies some.

It's just as well then that my efforts are always far too haphazard looking for me to want to put up photos of them :D

Those are the best ones Iz :D The pictures of things that have gone wrong on An Extra Slice are just brilliant :rotfl:.

I feel very antsy today, and I have no idea why. I've got no meetings today, I've got things to do but no madly rushing deadlines, the office is busy enough for some background noise but not annoyingly so, I slept ok and the weird dreams were no weirder than usual. But for some reason I feel very on edge. Not anxious as such, just really physically wound up. I can't explain it very well.

Tea, I can sympathise as I often feel like that for no reason. I always refer to it as a sense of impending doom :D

    usernameisvalid,

It always amazes me how physical emotional pain is. Do you have a nice 'heavy' toy you can hold against your stomach. My daughter has the microwaves teddies and they are quite heavy. Great to cuddle when you are falling apart.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

This is a great idea. There really is something very comforting about cuddling something warm. Those microwave teddies (or even just a good old hot water bottle) are great for this.

UNIV - hope you're doing ok this morning and managed to get some rest.

Iz - that's it exactly! Impending doom. Which always reminds me of a strange story I read once about a woman who had food poisoning and knew she was really ill, before she actually felt physically ill (iyswim). She insisted her partner take her to hospital, and then ended up in intensive care. But she only went to the hospital because of an odd feeling! Crazy how much we don't know about how our bodies work. They really are miraculous, even with their foibles :rotfl:.
  • A pipe under our floor has broken and is pouring water into the downstairs flat. We are waiting for a plumber to pull up our flooring to search for it. He needs to go in every room so I can't hide. Panic!

  • There must be something in the air I think, I had a terrible night last night, awful nightmares and "impending doom" is exactly what it felt / feels like. Was awake at 4am, gave up trying to sleep and got up at 5.30.

It's the weather. The barometer's been up and down like a yoyo. Plays havoc with the brain!

    And joints!

WaS! Was your waterbed so much fun that you wanted your downstair's neighbour to have one? :D

Seriously, though, you'll have to play musical rooms. :(
