*finally gives in and goes to raid the easter egg drawer*

You still have Easter Eggs left? !!!!

    I feel really deprived.
Because I'm not too fond of chocolate, I don't have Easter Eggs.:(

They used to make a Caramac Egg - I do like Caramac because of the caramel flavour - but they don't make it any more. :(

I like liquorice, but they don't make liquorice eggs, only liquorice chocolates inside a chocolate or plastic egg, and it's the egg that makes it an Easter treat!

Oh well, it's probably just as well! :D

(I made up for it with Theakston's Old Peculiar, even though the bottle wasn't egg-shaped! :D)

*looks for nearest bucket at mention of caramac*

Ooh there's something about just the thought of it that makes me queasy lol!

Just spent an hour doing something a really long-winded way then remembered (75% of the way through) how to do the same thing in seconds. Gonna be one of those days/weeks.

Family came round yesterday for lunch and assembled the welsh
dresser so I could unpack a few boxes of china and glasses, wash them and put them away.

They also moved a recliner chair into the living room so I have one at each side of the new fire. At one point I thought we were going to have to take a door off! About five large boxes were unpacked which has made more space.

Slept really well last night and having a lazy morning with lots of hot drinks to help my throat. No builders this week so don't have to have an early start.

Spent a large portion of the weekend on the sofa, but did actually manage to achieve a few things, including first mow of the lawn, though the mower would only work without the grassbox as it was so long. And I fixed the loo, which had stopped flushing - I was having to "flush" it using a bucket of water :rotfl:

Hope your cold improves Calley, and nice to see you here again :)

    Thank you ONO.

Can come and do my lawn if you fancy :rotfl: hot beverage and biscuits of choice. But no jaffa cakes as they are all mine :D

You would not believe what I do when I mow the grass. I first have to do a cat poop patrol and it gets put in carrier bag to go in to the bin. I cut the grass and then I have to come in and strip off all my clothes even my underwear in the kitchen and shove it in the machine and go and have a shower.

I am phobic of cat and dog poop. Any grass eating animals rabbits, cows etc fine with. I even freak out and having to pass dog/cat mess on the pavement. And have to spend a while convincing myself I did not touch. In my minds eye I don't just step but some how end up with it smeared all over me. I can trace that back to when I was about 17/18. I noticed what I thought was mud on my shoe and went to touch it. Nope it was cat poop. And I was stuck in my college class. It was not easy just to up and leave to wash my hands!!!

    Anyway enough about me.

My boyfriend's not a big fan of chocolate either but loves Caramac so, last year, I bought a load of bars of it and some easter egg moulds, melted them down and made my own. I also filled the egg with Jelly Tots as he was complaining that eggs are less fun now that the sweets come separately.
This year he decided that he wanted an easter kebab rather than chocolate...

I've still got quite a bit of chocolate left over but won't be eating it for a while.
Possible penguin about dieting I've put on quite a bit of weight recently and am really annoyed with myself for it. I keep starting diets, falling off the wagon and then finding excuses why now isn't a good time to start again, all the time getting bigger and bigger. Now that we've booked our holiday, for the beginning of June, it's dawned on me that I have very little time to make a difference and none of my summer clothes fit so I really need to do something. I can't afford to buy new clothes and, even if I could, shopping is pretty much torture at the moment as I'm so unhappy with how I look that it's impossible to find anything I like.
In an effort to make myself stick to it, I've turned it into a competition. My boyfriend's been saying for a while that he could do with losing weight so we've agreed that we'll work out the loss as a percentage of our starting weight (I weigh more so it'd be easier for me to lose more lbs) and whoever has the lowest percentage loss has to buy dinner the first night we're on holiday.
Friends of ours are also struggling to lose weight so we've added to the competition by having our flat against theirs and whichever couple has the lowest combined percentage has to pay for a carvery when we get back from holiday.
I'm not quite sure that having food as the reward for losing the most weight is the best idea but hopefully by then I'll be better at making good choices so my boyfriend and friends will be paying for me to have healthy meals out.
    End penguin.

Sounds like some good ideas there Izadora!

Plus in two months, you should feel more comfortable in the clothes you have at the moment!

    Best of luck!

I've fallen off the wagon big-time....... Penguin as I haven't done the 5:2 for a while, and am finding it hard to get back into, due to depression, plus I haven't been to Zumba for a few months, due to first illnesses then said depression. Once I get back into both, I'll be fine. end penguin

    Pyxis,

    Know how you feel.

    Penguin about diets

There is the blood sugar diet where you eat 800 calories everyday for 8 weeks then move on to a 5:2 med diet.

I need to loose as much as I can in the next couple of weeks to get in to my dress for the wedding. Other wise I have no idea what I am going to wear. Of course I want to do it the healthy way and not starve myself.

    Penguin end
