  • My benefits continue fortunately until they make a decision to renew the claim or cancel it. I know Atos came under a lot of criticism but they managed my assessments within 4 weeks, I was told today they still have a backlog and they unfortunately won't complete the assessment within the maximum 12 week period that the whole process is supposed to take. Once the medical centre have done their part in then goes back to the DWP to be reviewed before a decision is made. I may need a face to face assessment too which would put another month on the process. I am honestly thinking it might be done by early summer if I am lucky.

I really hope this goes through ok because if I have to wait for a tribunal appeal on reduce benefit I hate to imagine how long the waiting time is for that!

Aargh - with apologies for the massive generalisation, what is wrong with young men?!? Have got a student on placement who's getting @rsey because I won't let him get in a van and drive with no experience.

I think he reckons if he's stroppy enough I'll give in for a quiet life - whereas actually today I could happily fight with anyone so bring it on.

Grrr. We're having work done on the house again and the workmen have commandeered the upstairs bit of the house including the only toilet - which now has a massive hole to the outside (on purpose). However, I now desperately need to wee.

Seriously considering going into the shed with a bucket!

Think dry thoughts code! Nothing makes me need a wee more than knowing I can't - even if it's been 30 seconds since I last went.

    Any nice neighbours around?

Is it that there's a hole in the bathroom wall, or is it that the toilet itself is now not working? If the toilet's functioning could you kick the builders out for a minute (just ignore the hole lol)?

Depends how big the hole is, and how near the overlooking houses are! :rotfl:

I'd go into the room furthest from the builder, shut the door (and curtains if necessary), turn up the radio and use a bucket. Then pour it down the sink.

    Then clean the sink.

Of course, if it's anything other than urine.............
