Ooh Pyxis what shades of ultrabrights have you tried? . I fidn the pink comes out quite bright but when i tried turquoise it did nothing! i've gone back to Directions hair dye today

The "purple", although, to be honest, it's more of a bright mauve. I really want a bluey-type purple. I don't do my whole hair, just a bit of it. I've bought the blue, and I thought I'd try mixing that with the mauve to see if I get a proper purple. I'll do a strand test.
The rest of my hair is blonde with red highlights.

When I started going grey, in my early 30s, I had very dark brunette hair, so I used Nice 'n' Easy Vibrant Burgundy. Because my hair was so dark, it only covered the grey hairs, so it was ideal. As I got more and more grey, it became more and more burgundy! Eventually, after about 14 years, the grey roots became too much of a pain, so that's when I started going blonde.

    SLIPPERS that aren't flat........

Once again, I've forgotten who was asking about these last winter, but Hotter's new catalogue have two pairs of cosy slippers, one with 1.5" heels, and one with 1.25" heels, into which you could probably put a heel lift to make up the difference.

    Trixie: http://www.hotter.com/gb/en/trixie-slippers

    Wrap: http://www.hotter.com/gb/en/wrap-slippers?otrack=cpc&cm_ven=google&cm_cat=ppc&cm_pl%20%20a=Brand%20-%20Style%20

In addition, they have an offer on. Save £10 on one pair, £25 on two pairs, or £40 on three pairs.

If anyone has any spare get up and go could they please send it in this direction?
It was meant to be sunny so I could do gardeny things but instead it's grey and raining. Somehow the Hoover is not holding the same level of appeal.
Even Gitdog is declining to open his eyes and venture forth.

Me too elsien. My things to do list did not include "lie around in pj's and watch red dwarf" but somehow that's what I'm doing :rotfl:

I also have a somewhat traumatised Gitdog now getting underfoot. He really doesn't like change, and has grasped that most days I walk him, change into work clothes then he's on his own till Nan comes.
But I've just had Easter off and a couple of days working from home and it's completely thrown him. Every time I move he's hyperalert and waiting to see if I'm leaving him or not. It's not his fault he's an anxious little soul but it doesn't make him any less annoying.:rotfl:

...ok, so I did the bleach bath. Totally misjudged what I needed to do. What I should have done was apply it to the darkest bits first and wait a while. What I actually did was apply it to the darkest bits, get bored and immediately slap the rest of it on. So now I have bright orange roots and dark ends. I don't even think it lifted the colour from the bits that I needed it to much.

Sooo, thinking ahead, I did buy a brown semi permanent hair dye and will slap that on once my hair is dry but I need to take my bright orange hair grocery shopping now. Even DH who never notices anything noticed my orangeness.

I think I'll cut a few inches off the ends and then leave it a couple of weeks (probably with my hair in a bun) and then bleach the ends only. Jeezo.

I have just gone to browse on a certain shoe site- found the clearance section and ordered two pairs of sandals and a pair of slippers!!!! and maybe also :j as I do need summer sandals as old ones are a disgrace. Will one pair od dusky pink. one pair of blue and white and slippers be enough do you think.;)

I can't get used to spending money on myself and making my own decisions yet but think I may be getting the hang of it!

    Happy steppings!

Almost all my shoes are Hotter because I find them very comfortable, and non-slip.
Plus their ordering system, delivery and returns are very easy and no-hassle. I found a style that was particularly comfortable, and have about 6 pairs in that style, in four different colours, as I am terrified they will one day discontinue the style and I won't find some as comfortable!

Elona, may I ask why you aren't used to making your own decisions? You don't have to answer if that's too personal a question, I shan't mind!

No get up and go to spare here, have none at all in fact :p Have my first free weekend since early February and don't seem able to achieve anything! It's a beautiful day and I know I should get the mower out but the sofa is so much more appealing :o
