Would ash blonde work on hair that is going grey? I'm only early thirties and not ready to be natural grey just yet, but my hair has other ideas!

Tell me about it welly. I am mid 30s and started going grey at 16. Even worse, for some reason I've developes cystic acne over the past 6 months. So grey hair and acne.

As for the ash, it does work with grey hair - afaik the only thing to avoid is bright vibrant colours because the grey roots will come out a different colour. It's more a question of whether ash blonde will work with your skin tone and how much maintenance will have to go into keeping it ash - bleaching, toning etc. My hair has a tendency to go a bit brassy because I have red tones so when I was blond I had to use blue toners and silver shampoo to stop it going orange. Even with that, I had Barbie hair.

Awww MU, don't you dare be sour. Clap for the New Day and feel the power. It's a New Day, yes it is!

On the hair discussion, I went dark brown after my ill-fated experiment with turquoise hair then destroying it with bleach in an effort to stop it going green. Now it's recovered a bit, I want to go lighter so am planning a bleach bath to lift it a few shades. But...yesterday I noticed that my hair it's thinner at the back. DH said it isn't, but I'm convinced it is. So not sure if I should just leave it alone. :(
Yay! I wasn't imagining things! :j I bought Swain a New Day tshirt for his birthday! Stopped short of buying him the light up unicorn horn haha! I have a soft spot for Dean Ambrose! :o Though there's something about Roman Reigns thats a bit ...oooft-y lol

Re: hair i'd give it a rest in between bleaching (i try and leave mine a few months), and get some argan oil, i've found its a really good conditioner, i also use a thickening shampoo as mine had gone a bit thinner at the back

Ooh Pyxis what shades of ultrabrights have you tried? . I fidn the pink comes out quite bright but when i tried turquoise it did nothing! i've gone back to Directions hair dye today

Should do,:) thats what colour my mum went when she'd started going grey, though unlike me she insists on going to the hairdressers to get it done (probably recommended-i've been known to miss bits at the back)

Hands off Roman Reigns. He's mine. Dean Ambrose does have something about him though. I still love Y2J. He could put the Walls of Jericho on me anyday.

It's been 18 months or so since I last bleached it. I wanted to grow the damaged bits out and aside from the thinning which may be hormone related (I'm suspecting peri-menopause or side effects so should probably check that next medication review) it's in good condition. It's gone too dark at the front now which is why I need to lift it a bit. I've used colour b4 in the past but it's just such a faff whereas a bleach bath is just bleach, developer and shampoo whacked on for 15 minutes.

Ahhh Y2J, is he against AJ Styles on sun? I've liked the fact he's made comeback recently :D I love his jacket :rotfl: i want one that lights up hehe.

You can have Reigns as long as i get Dean :D

I didn't follow wrestling when Shane McMahon was in his heyday but Swain has been quite excited over it, he showed me some of his old mathces on youtube and im looking forward to him taking on The Undertaker!

I've used colour b4 before and it did nothing  the only thing that works for me is good old fashioned bleach and peroxide, i always use Jerome Russell B Blonde when i bleach it. It lifts really well. You just have to be careful about how long you leave it on for or it frazzles your hair.

I knew there was an advantage to being a redhead.

I'm not going grey, I'm going white. Once I go completely 'Ted Danson', I'll be able to dye my hair all sorts of colours without the bleach. Bonus.

I go to a singing for fun course and we were asked to sing at a function at the Town Hall before Easter.

One of our ladies has grey/white hair and a young relative has been practising on her with blue and purple dyes.

She wore a lovely blue and purple kaftan type top and matched perfectly!
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

I haven't had any grey hairs yet (not that i'd be able to bloody tell!) but my 23 year old sister has

I love seeing older women with bright rainbow hair. Ive had SO many older women comment on my hair saying they wish they had the confidence to dye it a similar colour so when i see someone who has i think "you go girl!" have that confidence, embrace io#t and don't give a **** what anyone thinks :)

May be a penguin for some due to death, but I think this is beautifully worded

:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

That is beautifully worded whitewing, it brought a tear to my eye. How wonderfully comforting to know that in their time of need they were given kindness and compassion. It is never easy to lose someone but anything that can bring even an ounce of comfort must be welcomed at such a difficult time.
