I thought it was something funny about mooning at first, as well, as you said it was a bit of fun!

    Delighted the cat is back.

E is definitely a keeper - I suspect she is just as thoughtful as you, Lambyr - it's just that you aren't used to it! I am very spoilt as I am brought a hot drink in bed every morning by an :A - aren't we lucky! :j

    Morning all :)

My new mattress must be so good, I was in such a deep sleep when the phone rang at ten to nine! I'm usually up ages before that. Then again, compared to the old mattress, a bed of nails would have been an improvement! It was my uncle to tell my his paraglide had been cancelled :( He won't be able to settle himself now!

Glad it's the weekend coming and I have a free one (last weekend wasn't, next isn't and August is filling up), I seem to be back in 5am wakeup mode again and have noticed when attempting to write stuff during my lunchtime (e.g. translating from Italian for my homework) I'm struggling to type coherent English, I'm so tired. Reading it back after I wonder how I could possibly manage to make so many mistakes :(

And a day late, but Lambyr, your posts about E don't sound like a dippy teenager, they are lovely and so sweet and you sound like someone in a happy loving relationship (it's been a long while, but I do remember how that feels). Underneath I am a bit of a hopeless romantic and adore reading them :o

    Hello all!

Thanks for the nice words Georgie, JM and Ono :)

It's nice that you find those posts sweet. I sometimes think I don't talk about much else! :rotfl:

And on that note, I think I've got everything ready for this weekend. Prepared a pasta casserole that just needs cooking and got some garlic bread to go with it, and some apple pie for desert if she wants any - if not we can have that tomorrow.

Not sure what to do tomorrow cos the weather is so changeable at the mo so will have to see on that.

    Hope everyone's doing alright.

Today is a perfect day for the slow cooker, and currently mine is cooking a Morrocan Tagine, it smells gorgeous! Hope it tastes as good! Serving it with couscous, which I'm not totally sure if I like it or not? I'm sure I tried it once and wasn't too keen on it....I have rice on standby!

Pasta casserole sounds yummy Lambyr, what's in it? (Apart from pasta obviously :p ) Have you got some custard for the apple pie?

Tomatos, herbs, some chicken, bit of pepperoni and a sprinkling of low-fat cheese on top.

Tomorrow may be a salad day... :D Though there may also be leftovers... so Sunday may also be a salad day...

I do have custard, yes! :)

I don't have a slow-cooker. It's one of those things I wish I had but I lack counter space for, so it'd end up in the cupboard and then I'd forget about it like that toasted sandwich maker I have.

Ooh you are all making me hungry (as ever!) Georgie and Lambyr your meals sound delicious. I'm eating out this evening which is good news as I'm a terrible cook (I am both can't cook and won't cook :D)

I did however make a pretty damn fine chocolate fudge cake last night, which I've just eaten a slice of. It tastes even better today... although it is very squidgy!

Well I thought that re the slow cooker (I have a cupboard graveyard of electrical appliances!), but this is one thing I've used loads.

I do a chicken pasta stew in it which sounds very similar to your pasta casserole, but I use Choritzo instead of pepperoni.

Eta: That's sounds yummy tea! The more squidgy the better re cakes IMO! Enjoy your meal out. :)
