The sun is out at last. After a somewhat traumatic afternoon yesterday involving Gitdog, a triathlon and some cows, we are having a quiet afternoon at home.
Speaking of PITA dogs, hi to welly if you're lurking.
Any idea what's affecting the sleep, Calley?

    WaS,

It is very understandable you thoughts on family.

I have neighbour who is about 50 years old and two mid 20's daughter and every time one of them leaves the house I hear them say to each other "I love you" pretty sure I never heard her say it to her partner when he left the house.

I personally find that very false. But maybe that is just me. I know deep down my parents loved me. But we were not hugged/kissed that much as kids.

I think its what ever is normal for you. Like for me in a relationship when you see someone after not seeing them for a time period due to work etc. I would expect a kiss. It was funny as sometimes me and my husband would start talking and then either one of us or both of us would look at each other and go "forgotten something" the reply would always be "no" :rotfl:then we would kiss. And now when ever I see lego man he give me a kiss then ask how I am.

I loved to be touched and I am not talking in a sexual way. Just holding hands, my hair being stroked etc. There is such a thing called skin hunger. Its about the lack of human contact and affection. very interesting subject.

    Yours

    Elsien,

Sadly no idea why my sleep is up the swanny.

Oh dear, dare I ask what git dog did?

Wave out to welly hope everything is going well.

Have to agree crafts or gardening is much better than house work or paperwork. Mind you at the moment. In my garden its more grunt work then actually gardening. Lego man said he would help me with my car and also would change the kitchen taps for me as my dad has been promising for months to do it :j

Then that means I can take the old ones back and get a refund on them as they have a 10 year guarantee only had them in for 3 and half years and the chrome is already coming off.

Funny though on friday my dad had time to come and see me and show off about his new number plate he had bought!!!!

I know I have a bad habit of when people offer not really taking them up on it. As I know from experience that it never happens so give up asking. Now a days I work to this rule if 1) if I can't do it 2) get someone in and pay them 3) or it don't get done. As simple as that :rotfl:

Everyone have a nice afternoon and take it easy.

    Yours

Waves.. thank you so much for sharing, and being so brave about and honest about your history of lying and then believing the lies due to psychosis.. I can have a tendency to exaggerate a bit when I'm in full emotional intensity mode and muddled.
Regarding my friend, I got another message from his mum today, and she thinks it is his mental health too.. She is coming to visit him this month and she is worried as to how she will communcate with him with his mutism, so I gave her my number and we're going to meet for a coffee when she is here.

Thanks also Waves for explaining your grief for your family when your relationship ended.. My family grief is my core pain, as you know.. I think all losses can trigger deeper losses.. My ex pain is under my recent surrogate BF cut off, and underneath that is my core family pain.. it never goes away, it is always there, and when I have a bout of acute mother grief, I think it will shift it but it never does.. I guess some things are too deep a wound.

Regarding your squued ideas of the roles of parents, I am the same.. We normalise out dysfunctional family dynamics for sure, Even though I was devo when I went through premature meno, I honestly think I would hace struggled being a mum.

I'm still lurking, thanks for remembering me :)

I'm starting to feel a bit better now, so should be back more regularly soon.

Escapette starts at the child minders tomorrow, so tonight am a little bit wobbly, or a lot wobbly!

I hope everyone is well and I do think of you all

Well, I was having a relaxing afternoon.
Until Gitdog started playing with my wine rack and broke a bottle. I have a full bottle of Chateau Neuf to remove from my carpet - the sod couldn't even aim for the cheap stuff.

Faerie, sorry if this is a daft question but is your bpd group intended to help you deal with the loss issues further down the line? Or is it more of an ongoing support group?

Did he start slurping the carpet?
(I wonder what an inebriated Gitdog would be like?)

Probably no different, given that he hasn't got any inhibitions to lose. (Is there a long suffering sigh emoticon?)

Hope you get your mind put at rest a little today, Pyxis.

 Welly :) There's quite a few people that haven't been on here lately, Melly, Birdie, Flybaby. I'm sure they're fine, but sometimes you just need a break or you're busy :)

Do you have an appointment for today Pyxis? If so, hope it goes well and puts your mind at rest. :grouphug:

Nearly bought new knickers last week as mine are terrible now. So glad I didn't have time as today they are 50% off!

ER seems to have a good day followed by a bad day. But the bad days scare everyone. Still it is early days yet and they have a lot of sleeping/healing to do.

Pyxis, hope all goes well today.

    Good morning everyone.
