I am radiating lol! Goodness me I am red
:o
Am doing ok thank you. Decorating finished for now (in that, I've done the easy room, and am now ignoring the big jobs that need doing).0 -
Hey everyone
MU - hope you're able to get an appointment and the help/support you want soon. I'll be honest, I've found the amount of fighting you have to do sometimes to get appropriate treatment for MH problems to be really off-putting. My depression is the type that strikes quite suddenly, and often for no reason... I just have these periods of feeling extremely low, and when I'm like that I lose all my energy. In the worst cases, even speaking is difficult, like each word weighs as much as a full bag of compost.
And having to jump through all these hoops, getting bounced around between centres, explaining the same things to a bunch of different people and everything else just to get some decent help is just too draining at times.
The online consultation sounds like a good step, especially if it's helped you get more out MU. Really hope it works out for you
It's too hot and stuffy for me today, again. It's like for every pint of liquid I've drunk, I feel like I've sweated out two. I've had to change tops several times. Now I've just given up so it's the gym shorts and sports bra combo!
Had a nice surprise yesterday. E normally spends Saturday with me and goes home Sunday for her family's Sunday lunch. She couldn't do Saturday this week though cos of a family engagement, so she came on Friday night after work and then went home early Saturday afternoon.
Got a text from her yesterday afternoon asking what I was doing, which wasn't a lot, so she says she's coming to pick me up and take me out for a couple of hours. And she did. Sat in a pub beer garden for a bit, then she went and bought me some food, and even bought a cream cake for me to take home for mum
Been looking at this stuff for her dad today. It's straightforward enough in its complexity! Will take up most of my summer but after that I think I'll be able to do the bulk of the ongoing work over a couple of hours a day.She would always like to say,
Why change the past when you can own this day?0 -
Afternoon Campers,
Hugs and squishes and handshakes all round.
Sorry to hear about people who are struggling such as WaS and Mu. You need some very special Calley hugs and there are loads of them and they are all for free.
Pyxis loved the stork photos.
I have been reading but just keeping a low profile. As I did do something very dumb before the back holiday weekend. But it sort of ended well. So just keeping myself to myself really. And just processing stuff in my head really.
Some good news. I have now been out on a date with the same person twice in one week :jHe is keen and texts me everyday. I let him text me first every morning so I don't appear too keen LOL!!! He is a big kid in to lego and stuff. And seeing him again this week
Also I had this number keep calling me on my mobile and I did not know it so did not answer it. Then they sent me text and I read it saying I had won a competition. I was like really I enter tons and never win anything. So was not sure if to reply or not in case it was a scam. They phoned again and I answered it for them to tell me I have just won £2K  I wont believe it until I get the money. But if so OMG!!!!!
Once it does a party in the fort and everyone is invited. You can have what ever you like to eat and drink. No expense spared
I seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment. Things are starting to look so much better. Fingers crossed it carries on like that. And maybe I can think about a holiday for this year with the money I have won
Everyone take lots of care.
Yours

Oooo, Calley, really hoping that win is a real one! How kind to think of the fort, but don't worry about it as the virtual supplies never run out and are always of the highest quality
- just enjoy yourself and give yourself some real treats! xxxxx

I can verify this, I am currently munching some virtual jaffa cakes that a helpful passer-by to the fort left in here earlier.0 -
Lambyr, the job sounds just right for you! What a stroke of luck
Your E is a dear! How thoughtful!
Does she live a long way away? I can't remember if you've told us.
I don't suppose she'd ever consider moving in with you and your Mum, would she? Probably none of my business! And your Mum might not be happy about that anyway!
Oh shut up Pyxis, and stop digging that hole! :rotfl:
Calley, did they say what competition it was? And when? If not, I'd be a bit cautious.
What details did you have to give them? No bank details, I hope?
I do hope it's bona fide! A holiday would be so good for you!
Sounds like your new guy might be a Lego version of Swain! Hahahahaha!(I just lurve spiders!)

Thank you JM
So do I. I found out about an hour ago. So still in headless chicken mode :rotfl:
Once I have got my puddies on the cheque then it might sink in LOL!!!
I just hope that its the start of the good times for me. As the last few years have been so carp for me. I was just starting to think that it would not get any better.
Well I think a few days away for me and a new shed. Yes I know how to live the high life baby :rotfl:

Pyxis,
yes in the text sent a few days ago they told me what competition and where from.
They have been trying for over a week to contact me. No bank details just my name and address details. They must be the prize house that are dealing with it and passing my details on to the company who ran the competition.
To be truthful I go on a splurge and enter loads. I think I do remember it. I was also told it will be up on the website for me to see the details.
So just need to wait for the cheque to pop through the door now.
He might well be :rotfl:time will tell. Not in any rush and happy to just go with the flow this time. I know deep down my issues with my ex were him and not me. He was not ready not sure he ever will be. I want fun and not misery in my life.

It does, doesn't it? I have to admit, I've been mildly terrified about what the future might hold for me when I'm no longer a carer. I doubt a CV that's not got anything on it for well over a decade would be helpful in the job market. So this really could work out nicely for me. Get to work at home, to my own hours, chance to get some references/recommendations on LinkedIn, maybe set myself up as a freelancer in the future. It's quite exciting!
E lives about half hour away. Used to live a couple of streets away when we were growing up but both of us have moved since then. Dunno about moving in for a while! She's had some extended stays here in the past, before we became a couple. Mum's still adjusting to her daughter being a bit gay at the mo. She's okay with it but I am still getting the occasional bizarre (or bonkers) question.
I look at it positively though - she's taking an interest! Occasionally, a bit too much of an interest but I'll let her off.
And calley, congrats (I hope!) on your competition win! :TShe would always like to say,
