    Morning all! how is everyone?

Sorry for going missing for 2 days, I had a catatonic episode on Friday which was just horrid. It apparently only lasted for 30 minutes but felt like days to me, I was living years in my mind. I was back living with my family and reliving everything all over again even though in reality I was staring straight ahead with all my muscles rigid and unresponsive, WaSp couldn't get any reaction from me at all and I had no idea this reality even existed. It was like a nightmare world that I couldn't get out of, horrid thing to experience.

Yesterday I was still very weepy and panicking and in a lot of pain from locking my muscles the day before. Today I feel battered but otherwise ok and back to normal. There was no reason for that to happen at all, it was just a chemical glitch. It is frustrating and terrifying at the time but as my psychiatrist says if these things didn't happen I wouldn't need his help and wouldn't be unable to work, I have to accept that these episodes will take place sometimes as part of the condition and although they feel horrid they are really just waking nightmares and cannot hurt me.

So back on my feet, alive and kicking, hopefully that's it over for a while now.

    Oh dear. :(
    Poor WaSsie.

    Glad you're better.

They sound like horrid episodes. Good old WaSp for looking after you.

Did your old psychologist friend get in touch with you?
Don't worry if he didn't - over time, people's emails can change, and sometimes become disused and so they may not actually see emails or new servers may see unrecognised emails as spam and junk them.

Awww, Wassie, so sorry to hear that. Hope you are feeling better hour by hour xxxx

Faerie - it sounds as if you are doing really well. Well done at sticking with it. xx

My sister sent me this link this morning, which I think is good, mostly because the Kings Fund are so realistic about how limited services are. (And I love this sort of animation!) I am posting it as it might help a hummingbird on here who wonders what would happen if they asked for help with their, or someone else's, mental health. Apparently I have a niece in law who worked on it!

Lambyr - that is brilliant news! Yes, it does sound professional, and well done you! xxx

    PS - I realised I hadn't said - love the storks! xx

That's very true about the emails. And not just emails - you have just reminded me that I had a letter before Christmas from someone I'd lost touch with years ago. And because it didn't reply straight away I completely forgot about it and still haven't replied

Sorry you've had a bad day WaS - I'm well behind on catching up as the wifi is still erratic.
I am still in Portugal till Tuesday. Card has broken so I've run out of money - it's going to be a quiet couple of days.
Pretty please can someone remind me at the weekend to reply to my poor friend?.

Oooh! Elsien, a lovely long holiday! :T

It was a coincidence, as I was watching Michael Portillo on one of his Great Train Journeys a couple of days ago, and he was on a train going from Spain to Portugal!
He mentioned about Portuguese time being the same as UK time, and not the same as European time. That had surprised me a lot when I flew to Faro! We didn't change our watches until we got to the border bridge over the River I'veForgotten!
    Edit. River Guadiana!

He also talked about the fact that Portugal is our oldest continuous ally. :)m I never knew that. Apparently there's been a lot of cultural interchange over the years. Yet we never hear that, do we? It's always all about the USA. :(

It always annoys me that we know/hear more about the
States than about countries only 100 miles away. :(

No money. Card not working. Down to only buying the essentials and making them last. :D

    Well done!

Have you tried phoning your card?

It may just be that you didn't tell them you would be using it abroad?
= unusual spending behaviour, so they block it?

Even if it isn't that, it's worth phoning them to see what's happened.

Edit. If you phone them from a landline, you can reverse the charges.

Awww, lots of time enjoying the sea then, elsien! Free and fun!

I haven't actually managed to email my favourite psychiatrist yet, Pyxis. I have no idea where to send the email, rather than being employed in one place he now lectures at lots of universities and does specialist programmes for hospitals so it is really difficult to find a contact address. Lots of people contact him so it must be possible somehow!

I just had another 6 hour sleep, these catatonic episodes exhaust me. I have no idea what I did but now it really hurts when I breathe. It is all muscular from holding my muscles rigidly but wow, pain. At least I mentally feel better, just very battered.

ETA Pyxis has a point, elsien. Are you sure that haven't blocked your card? My bank is amazing on this, when WaSp took Milliefleur to Yorkshire they blocked our cards after one transaction there. I have learnt to tell them in advance if I am going anywhere because they panic!
