Thanks. In a practical sense you're most likely right. Hiring me to do it does save him a small fortune upfront, which would obviously be something in mind for him. I also notice he came up with a figure quite quickly, so I think he was planning to offer it to me and the lunch was an 'interview' to check I knew what I was on about.
There's definitely some positives for me. Bit of extra cash, and possibly some decent references so I could maybe take on some freelance work. I've often thought about freelancing but without clients and recent experience I'd end up on Fiverr or something and I'm not doing that.
E hasn't said anything about it, so I guess he hasn't discussed it with her so I suppose that's another sign it's a business decision and not a throwing me a bone kinda deal. Though I dunno, maybe it's a bit of both? He knows I can do it, and possibly he knows I'd be appreciative of the opportunity that I'd work harder... Which I would.
I dunno what's wrong with me sometimes. I get a decent opportunity handed to me, and become bizarrely paranoid about it. I don't even know why. I'm all for logical thinking until something good happens to me.
And faerie, so sorry you're feeling down. I'll have to read back to get up to date with the groups you've been attending, but sorry to hear that it's been difficult for you at times. All the best. xxxShe would always like to say,

I thought this would be good for any Bipolar people, or even for people like me, with large swings up and down............
The person who posted this on another thread said the following:-This here is a zoomed-in audio waveform. If it didn't have any ups or downs there would only be silence.
Same goes for the heartbeat, ........and my mood
I think that would make a nice badge, or logo!(I just lurve spiders!)

Oh should actually update on my mardy little dilemma yesterday.
E didn't know anything about her dad offering me a job until after he'd offered it to me. She said he didn't say a lot about it but it is a business decision - he can't afford to spend too much on it to begin with and so he wants someone he can trust to do the work, and not put him to the back of some queue cos he's not able to pay a huge amount for it.
So I do feel a bit more confident I'm being hired based on my skills, and it's not some sort of bizarre nepotism type deal. Got another meeting with him next week, and pretty sure I'll take the job. Like I say, it's a bit more per month than what I get now and I think I'll actually feel quite good about having some actual employment to do. Plus there's a lot of potential in what he does to make a decent bit of money and when we met up before he did say that he wouldn't be intending to keep me on my starting wage long-term. He wants to get on his feet first. She would always like to say,
