Another insomniac here. I got into a terrible sleep pattern through Restless Leg Syndrome and even now I have it largely under control, my sleep has never recovered.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
At last I've been able to connect my camera to my iPad, sort of at least....it's not easy at a all!
Anyway, this is the church tower with the stork nest......
And this is a close up of the nest........
This is an old washing-place in the centre of Aracena, that's been restored. You can see the marble washboards at each station. It's still fed by a stream!(I just lurve spiders!)

Awww, what lovely photo's, elsien and Pyxis!
Good luck for the group Faerie, how kind of you to take your friend. Don't worry about editing your posts, I edit almost every one of mine. In my case it is because it's one of the major areas where OCD affects me. I cannot bear to have a single typo or badly constructed sentence, it makes me extremely anxious and my first few drafts of posts have a lot of them because my memory is so bad. The content tends to stay the same but I do improve grammar and typos if I spot them. You can imagine trying to to take a degree with this, I rewrote everything a ridiculous amount of times (I edited this, a sentence looked odd).
I have a yeast infection under both arms and on the roof of my mouth, ouch! This happens every now and then because I take a daily antibiotic, I do tend to take drinks to replace healthy bacteria but they don't always work. This is so sore!
I am also feeling guilty because poor WaSp now has a cold as well as feeling dizzy. It isn't like he can stay in bed and I can look after him, I did offer to make him a hot drink and he was up within seconds telling me not to touch boiling water. He reminded me of yesterdays incident when I was watering plants and couldn't reach one so bought it closer by balancing it on a computer power supply and almost pouring water all over both! I have never thought that is ok but my awareness of hazards just disappears until I am reminded, it can be something I have done safely for months and then suddenly the memory is no longer there. This happens to everyone sometimes but in my case it's multiple times a day involving many different things. My memory is just ruined if I am not prompted, its partly due to long term psychosis and partly due to long term antipsychotic medication. I wish we could trust me to do more especially when WaSp is unwell. I keep thinking of the ESA form saying I would be a danger to myself and others if I worked and then I get thoroughly depressed because it's true, I'd probably set fire to the office or electrocute half of the people in it.
Beautiful photo Pyxis! I wonder if you can buy cuddly storks...Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Ok, save for a stork time! Thank you, Pyxis, I shall look that up. I have over 50 cuddly toys now, I have decided that I am going to call this a collectors hobby so that it sounds better. I even have a cuddly echidna now, look them up, they are adorable! :rotfl:Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Well done Welly and Gingernutty.
Fab photos Elsien and Pyxis.
Faerie, I hope all goes well at the group.
WaS, I hope that your yeast infection and WaSp's lurgy clear up soon.0 -
Guess what? Guess what?! One of my cacti that is very hard to look after and rarely flowers has a stalk covered in flower buds and 2 babies! This makes me ridiculously happy! I do put a lot of effort into caring for my plants and to see one flower, knowing how rare it is, is amazing! Little things like this make me very happy, I should have become a gardener because I have always loved caring for plants. It is going to be so pretty once it blooms!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Very short hummingbird visit . Real life has been full on in many ways but I do check on you all when I get a minute .
Sending gentle hugs and strength to MU and Faerie and any others that are struggling at the moment .
Hoping the poorlies feel better soon and everyone gets some of the good weather .
Big well done to Welly , that was lovely to see .
Pyxis You have forced me to find a minute to post ! Those pictures are so stunning , the detail and texture are so lifelike I feel I could lift a twig out of the nest . That must be one heck of a camera and I think you missed your vocation .
Flying off again I have missed so many of your posts that my foggy brain can't catch up . Warm wishes to you all and be good
