Oh good! You can look for the rare wild animals and plants now!
Why am I so brilliant, efficient, ace and mega-wonderful at sorting, clearing, tidying and indexing the AmDram equipment, yet so crap at my own?
(Ok, ok, I already know the answer to that!)

faerielight, I know and people can be so condescending about it.
Going to penguin this so not to trigger anyone. On the same theme about food. And just whining as well :rotfl:
its easy just stop shoving food down your throat!!!! I even borrow some of lodgers food. He has no idea I am eating it. As he does not take that much notice. he does borrow some of mine. Such as fruit, condiments and my alcohol if we sit and have a drink together. So a few packets or crisps I think is neither here or there.
I know I am very ashamed that I do this. Its not like I am stupid. I know how to cook and know what is good for me. I once lost 2 and bit stone in 8-9 weeks. I cycled 5 miles a day and ate 3 meals a day. Evening meal was always a massive pasta bowl of steamed veg with some like a chicken breast. Never felt hungry and I felt real good.
I have to wonder if its a way to keep people away. I have been so messed about and hurt over the last 4 years. I wonder if I binge eat to get fat so no one will fancy me. its so dumb I take care of my appearance wear make up dye my hair and try and make myself look pretty. And try and wear clothes are nice but not too revealing.
its like I am at odds with myself.
Penguin end
On a postive note I bought Amazon Prime at £59. So even more movies to watch :rotfl: And cut the grass out the front yesterday. And left a patch that everyone is asking why. I did it on purpose. Was not being lazy. it has loads of butter cups and clover in it. And at the moment I have very little in the way of flowers to attract the insects and butterflies.

I'm into my last two weeks of work before my redundancy.
The last two jobs I interviewed for have fallen through, and I'm not hearing back from others.
I'm scared.
Really scared.

(((( Calley )))) Penguin reply I can sympathise, I've had many a rant about people's "just eat less and move more" attitude to weight loss, as if it's really that simple. It's about as much use as saying "just eat a sandwich" to someone with anorexia...
Please try not to beat yourself up too much about things (again, I know, a lot easier said than done), knowing how to eat healthily and actually sticking to it are two very different things. If it was easy to diet there wouldn't be an industry worth billions based on promising people that they can offer an easy fix.
I'd love to be able to wave a magic wand and give you an answer to how to fix it but if I had the faintest idea of how to manage it then I wouldn't still have half a stone to lose for my holiday clothes to be comfortable... End penguin.
(((( HBS )))) I can't imagine how scary it must be and I hope you get a job offer soon.
I'm not sure whether it'd reassure me or make me more scared but have you already worked out exact incomings and outgoings to know how long you've got before things get really tight?0 -
calley,
That is one of the major reasons why I didn't particularly care that I'd 'let myself go'.
No self-worth and such loneliness would have driven me to bed with anyone, but get too big to get naked with a stranger and it solves the problem.
Speaking from experience now though, it is a terrible approach. Now that I do care, it is so hard to get over the fact that I haven't lost 8 stone in a year or whatever the current 'slimmer of the minute' has done.
Please, please anyone who weighs more than ideal, don't let yourself pile on any more weight than you are right now.
I was looking at sports gear in m and s, dejectedly as I am only buying one size lower than I used to be (although elasticated waists probably allow a 5 size range anyway). But that one size drop allowed approx double the choice of items.
end penguin as I have to do some work.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

(((hbs))) Hang in there, it is scary, but hopefully the knowledge that we're all cheering you on and there's always the fort to hide in for a while will stop it becoming overwhelmingly scary.
Is temping an option? Not ideal I know, but hopefully enough to tide you over until the dream job comes along.
Would also definitely second the suggestions of reviewing all outgoings. I think I'm pretty careful but whenever I check there's always something that's crept into the budget! Although I'm sure you've already done this x.
I've got no idea what work/area you're in but if any more contacts would help, feel free to pm me and I'll add you on linked in. I'm in health and safety / occ health so if that's no use whatsoever to you or you'd just rather not I won't be in the slightest bit offended.
Hang in there xx.0
