I like code's idea of a non-whited countdown.
Everyone is welcome to post and everyone is welcome to say they feel a bit sensitive too.
I am chirpier than yesterday. DH has agreed to an exercise class with me (not the zumba one though).
I am being a little impulsive and 'sticky' today. You know when you get an idea on your head and it niggles until you email someone with it? That is what I have done. (Nothing stalkerish, I may add). Now I have that slightly downward dip of 'what did I do that for?' Never mind, nothing offensive, just a bit of lateral thinking on something.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. This is a thread about mental health. Everyone who uses it is fully aware it is not a substitute for getting professional help elsewhere. Sometimes you want to vent or share your experience or just get a bit of moral support on a particularly bad day. It would be a shame if for whatever reason people no longer felt able to do that.
The penguins have worked well up until now, I'm sure there's a way round it. Bottom line has always been though, post if you need to. If the forum team have an issue with that perhaps they might like to be up front and say so? Otherwise I'm happy to presume it's business as usual.
I am having a teeth grinding day. Not because anything has happened but because since the dentist mentioned it I'm particularly aware of how often I'm doing it. Which is probably making it worse! All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I also expect that users who need a break for a short or long while will pm WaS anyway.
Doubt it is forum team as I think they would have said something long ago.
How's the assignment going lambyr?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Hi whitewing.
Slowly is the answer. Can't focus very well today, presumably due to wanting to go sleep for a day. But struggling through. Keep second-guessing myself though which is slowing me down.
Mostly I'm doing it in blocks of ten to fifteen minutes, followed by an equal length break. Will probably be at this until quite late but will get it done. And if needs be I can still take some time tomorrow on it.She would always like to say,

Managed a sudden spurt of creative energy and pretty much finished the screenplay. Still got some work to do on it but that'll keep for tonight and tomorrow morning.
Best go make myself look pretty for E now! The caffeine-fuelled sleep-starved look might not be the best one to go with tonight! She would always like to say,

hi guys, I went to my 1st support group today.. I was so nervous I got frozen and sat in the car for ages, and almost bailed.. but I did go, and it was such a good group! It's a peer support group, so you all support each other, but there were 2 MH nurses there to help, one of which is my new keyworker, and she seems so nice
.. but the best bit was that they had adult colouring books, lego, plasticine and stress balls, so you can use whatever you like.. it so appealed to my inner child, and I happily coloured in
I've never come accross this on the NHS before! everything was carefully thought out.. aromatherapy oils were burnt, they had cards with teddy bears on, with different emotions on their faces and different stances, so if you couldn't communicate how you felt, you could use the cards instead to show the group. And there were other cards, saying that you had to take a break from the group, in case you couldn't communicate it..
It is so different to the NHS rigid provision of day centres!
My town had a day centre, I didn't like it, as I always got letched at and hit on by men, and it was mostly men with psychosis, which as a trauma survivor, I found a bit scary. The centre closed down last year due of the NHS cuts, so they sent the service users to a day centre for learning disabilities, and it doesn't work at all, as they are 2 very different client groups. And that's all we have now. I didn't like it, as again, there were so few women.and I didn't go. .. So this centre is so different in that they understand trauma, and the needs of fragile people like me! I really enjoyed coloring.. It's the 1st time I've coloured as an adult, it reduced my anxiety loads! I'm so happy to be a member of the centre, everyone seems so friendly, and it's a peaceful place.. This is going to change my life, it really is! It won't take away my past, or give me back my physical health, but I've been so isolated and lonely for so long.. being part of a ready made community will help so much. I'll still be alone most evenings, but to have a safe place to go 2 or 3 times a week will be so good for me.
I had a great CPN years ago who I saw for 4.5 years, and she was great with trauma, but apart from her, I've never seen a place so utterly geared up to people with ptsd and bpdMany thanks to all who contribute on MSE0 -
Brilliant, faerie.
pyxis, I survived my trial session and am going again next week. Your post prepared me perfectly. I joined in everything (badly). The instructor was incredible.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Now, as you know, I'm not very keen on chocolate.
However, a few days ago, it dawned on me that chocolate is the wrong name for it.
It should be called 'chocol'.
Why? Because the '-ate' is a foregone conclusion! :rotfl:(I just lurve spiders!)
