*heads off to search for lovely membership badges*.... I am so good at procrastination! :D

Kept thinking I could hear odd noises all night but no have no idea if I could, or if I dreamt the lot. I certainly woke up a lot.

In good news - my mug has returned! I haven't seen it since before Easter but it was back in the kitchen this morning. Now if I could just get some actual work done that would definitely class as a good day!

When I'm really super tired my mind starts mucking about and I hear noises in my sleep that seem very real and usually enough to wake me up. There's a name for it - something like hypnogogical I think - but it's a type of aural hallucination caused by the different parts of the brain not being properly synced up, so you end up in a situation where you're straddling being asleep and being awake, but the part of the brain that is responsible for dreaming is already off on one, so because you're not fully asleep (like in the snoozing phase that usually precedes proper sleep) the dreamworld starts barrelling through into the real world.

Can be very confusing. The other day I was just about dozing off then heard a motorbike roaring so that would have been one of them! Such fun them minds!

And yay for your mug returning! Always good to have your favourite mug around.

So far I've managed to load up my script writing software (I'm doing a screenplay for my final assignment) and I've made a second coffee. So I have some progress. If I've started writing by 10:30am I'll be impressed with myself!

Edit.. Ooh by the way, Georgie, did you find that Take a Break? I'm intrigued!

I'm such a clutz Pyxis, kept hold of the issue for ages, and now can't find it. I think I must have thrown it out with the recycling without thinking. :( Can't believe I've done that

I've looked on TAB's website, but the archive photos only appear to go back a few weeks.

When was it you were over there again? Jan? Feb?

Lambyr - I think it was something like that. I was half asleep and couldn't quite work out what was going on. Kept thinking I could hear something knocking on the window (although I did see a huge pigeon on the windowsill the other day - it might have been him!), as well as people talking, etc. I'm always exhausted after a night of dreaming as they're so vivid. Have never really been able to explain this to other people - have tried many times but people just give me that "I have no idea what you're talking about" look so I give up.

Did one thing on my to do list but clearly motivation has now left me and I'm rambling on here instead :o:o. Someone give me a kick :rotfl:.

Of course, all are welcome and membership is free. I'll be at the kettle making tea to help keep everyone awake :D

Could I have coffee please, industrial strength and in vast quantities :D

I can't remember who it is who's going to Mexico (sorry, I always intend to keep track of who's posted what and then finish catching up and it's all a scramble. Maybe I should make notes...) but have a fabulous time. I went there about 4 years ago and absolutely loved it.

Tea lover - could be that cos you'd seen a pigeon recently your brain recalled that during it's dream phase? I find that happens a lot to me.

I've managed to write a page of my script! Only another ten to go and then all the edits and revisions. Yay me.

To deal with the non-whiting out of penguins on devices maybe we should do something like this:

Non whited out PENGUIN, so skip post if you don't want to read in:
    3
    2
    1.
    Penguin text.

Then a new post for non penguins so people know they can read that.

That way melly and anyone else can still post their penguins without worrying. I'm rather worried that people in crisis will think they can't post.
Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.
  • I've been reading the thread for a while as a lurker and I thought that when melly posted saying she wouldn't be posting about it again that she meant ever.
