Well, whadderya know!
Those chemistry lessons weren't in vain then!
Would vinegar on its own work, or do you have to have the tomatoes too?
It's likely due to the combination of acids. Vinegar is primarily aecetic acid, whereas both malic acid and citric acid is contained in tomatoes. Not being much of a chemist my guess is that when all three acids are unleashed on the naughty oxidising-copper of chlorine, they are far more effective at neutralising the chemical reaction. She would always like to say,
Why change the past when you can own this day?0 -

Might be a statement of the bleeding obvious, but does she actually know that's what she's meant to be doing? Just because some support workers are there to motivate people to start doing things for themselves so maybe she's not clocked that your situation is different?
Give OH change to think it over - I know a few people who go into auto-no mode when faced with something new, then reconsider once they've thought it over.
Any chance of doing something nice for you today? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

melly.. I couldn't read the white penguin text, for some reason, it didn't show when I tried to scroll on it.. I really recommend these drinks.. they are called Fortisips. Otherwise what about some Complan fortified hot chocolate from Boots? Here's the ED website: https://www.b-eat.co.uk/
.. and here's the helpline number: 0345 634 1414
Waves.. Messed Up is right and put it really well.. we have innate worth, it doesn't matter whether or not we work.. Feeling useless is what this government wants us to feel, and wants society to think of us like.. but it's not the case.. We all have things to offer, regardless of employment..
I would have undoubtedly left MSE after the car crash that was the threads I was embroiled in a few months ago, if it hadn't been for you guys pointing me to this safe pocket of MSE.. What you set upo here is so beneficial for all of us.. you are an inspiration.. you have so much wisdom to share, so much knowledge, and you always seem to know the right thing to say.. that's a gift!
It really get's to me that the new policy for getting a council flat is built arround peoploe who "positively contribute to society" either paid work or voluntary, and that I'm blocked from bidding on half the flats because I'm not deemed to be an asset to society bacause I'm too ill to work..
I feel like we have really gone backwards with this antiquated notion.. it's the government's ruse to detract from what is really going on..
We might not feel useful, due to our mental health probs, and low self esteem, but we are all by default, loveable, useful etc.. please don't feel that because you are struggling at the mo, that you have no value.. we all think you are fabulous.. whether you are ill or not! .. And this space is hear for you too, when you're feeling crappy or happy! xMany thanks to all who contribute on MSE0 -
Faerie that was very well said.
Melly like others Im really concerned for you, please contact someone for help
Penguin about church and mental health yesterday at church there was a mental health awareness day. People spoke of their struggles and also professionals talked of the help available and coping strategies. Others talked of how they were helped by fellow members. All in all it was a good day and will hopefully start us being much more open about this huge need. End penguin
Im still struggling with feeling worthless and useless. Yes I know I said I agree with what's been said above but its easy to think others are of value but harder for myslef.
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Melly, when you post a penguin, would you be kind enough to white it out, please? :A
I, like some others, thought you had done so, but then realised that the penguiny bit was actually the bit at the bottom, that wasn't whited out.
Although it didn't affect me personally, I'm concerned that someone vulnerable might have assumed that the penguiny bit was in the white gap, and gone straight to the bottom of your post, where they would then have seen the bit you had intended to penguin.
I'm sure you wouldn't have wanted that to happen. If you're unsure as to how to white out a penguin, just ask, and I or someone would be pleased to help. :A(I just lurve spiders!)

Just watching the Queens 90th Birthday celebrations, and what a sop I am, some of it is moving me to tears, very stirring music, and those horses are just so beautiful and intelligent.
I'm not a royalist by any means, and think it's abit too sucky up and pomp and ceremony for the most of it, and was just thinking that the Queen looks bored stiff and that she could at least crack a smile lol! Sure enough she did when the horses came on! I do like watching these things though.0
