WaS and Faerie - great news ladies! {squishes}0 -
This may be a really really stooped question, but I am so ungirly - I just don't know.
Am going on holiday in two days and will likely be in and out of pool/sea a lot - is it safe to dye my hair (was going to use a niceneasy non permanent)? Not sure if the hair dye vs chlorine - hair go green thing is a myth/old wives tale?0 -
Used to be true years ago - dyes may have changed a bit since then.
mellymoo, have I misunderstood or is the floating support worker a problem?
My brain continues to be somewhat lacking in sense at the moment. I spent half the night wondering why I was cold, then got up this morning to find I'd left the back door open all night. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I don't go into pools much, but when I have done, I haven't turned into a Martian! I've used Nice'n'Easy in the past, and now I have a combo of my hairdresser's colours and Schwarzkopf Ultrabrights.
I wouldn't worry, but you could always email/phone the Nice'n'Easy Help department to doublecheck.
And shower after the pool, which you would anyway.
I find the sun has more of an effect (fading the colour) than the pool ever did!
Might be a good idea to wash your hair at least once after dyeing, before going in the pool, to ensure all residue is out of the hair.
Also, I don't know if you can still get special shampoo for chlorinated hair?
As I said, I've never noticed any probs. and I have a lot of blond and red tints.(I just lurve spiders!)

Going in a pool after dying your hair won't turn you into Grotbags, but it will dry your hair out and it might go dull and the colour fade faster.
Where you going? Somewhere nice and hot?!0 -
Thank you, I will try and get it dyed today and then can wash it tomorrow before we go. Mexico for two weeks, so might not be about much.0

Not a problem, just needs to actually do stuff instead of telling me it needs to be done and calling to see if I have done it0
