I jokingly whinged at Tesco last year complaining they didn't deliver my ice cubes during a heatwave.
They gave me a £5 e-voucher.

I have had too much caffeine today and given myself a headache.

Evening all! I used to play WoW years ago, it was fun! I have played a lot of computer games over the years before my reactions became too slow with the antipsychotics, WaSp's main hobby is gaming, he is always playing something.
You would get on well with WaSp, Georgie. He loves photography. I managed to pick him up a second hand DSLR camera off Ebay for Christmas and he is constantly taking photo's now.
So good news! We had a free update to our internet and it is so speedy you wouldn't believe! It has made a huge difference! Bad news, I seem to have acquired a browser hijacker that is opening up advertisements randomly in my browser. I actually quite like virus/adware removal so it isn't really a big deal, I just can't be bothered yet. I will put up with annoying adverts for a while.
I am also not coping with the heat, it is dehydrating me and I am not quite sure what to do. I have a broken temperature control due to my thyroid disorder so I don't cool down quickly, I take codeine which dehydrates and diuretics which obviously do. I am waking up with a bad headache every morning. I drink water constantly as it is, I have no idea how to get more liquid into myself. Here's a weird idea for you WaS but might work or help a little - wrists are a really good spot for cooling the body. So you get a freezer bag, put a good amount of washing up liquid into it, seal (with no air) and roll into sausage shape that can wrap round your wrists, pop it in the freezer and then wear like a bracelet - instant cooling and less sweating.
Either that or a lot of ice cream!Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
I think I understand what you meant Calley

Had to let it cool down.

Ooooh, code! What a clever idea! Thank you, I shall try that. I suffer every summer and have ever since my metabolism and temperature went to pot, I don't cope well in hot weather at all because my cooling system is broken. It's disgusting but the hair on my scalp is wet right now because I am sweating so much, I am probably the only person counting down to autumn right now.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I much prefer autumn and winter. I hate the heat, or at least humidity. I end up sweating and feeling manky and grimy all the time to the point I end up taking a couple of cool baths per day and changing my clothes constantly. Find it harder to sleep properly in the summer too cos I just wake up every couple of hours sweating and desperate for a drink. Summer also costs more money cos I end up spending more money on drinks. And to top it off, I know I'll open a window and within five minutes there will be a daddy long legs pointlessly bumbling along the wall and annoying me!
There's some upsides to summer admittedly. E and I used to go watch T20 games cos it's quite relaxing sitting outside, smothered in sunscreen (fair skin... I will burn in minutes!) with a couple of cold ciders... can't do that anymore cos the person who used to take over for me looking after mum is no longer with us but can still watch it on TV and use some imagination.
So obviously not for the exact same reasons, and I'm sorry to hear of your health troubles in summer, but I'm at least with you on not being the fan of the hot weather as most others! She would always like to say,

Yay! It's not just me, Lambyr! I am fair skinned too, there is no tan, it is white as a sheet to bright red and blistered after 15 minutes in the sun.
Everyone please enjoy the summer for me and I will enjoy the winter for you. Deal?Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
