Penguin reply to tea Big hugs, you haven't let your children down, you are protecting yourself which you have every right to do. I always, very truthfully, say I chose not to have children and change the subject. Obviously, it is far more complicated then that because I miss out the part where I was desperate to have them and only chose to because I was terrified about what would happen to the children physically and mentally.

I doubt I could have had children anyway, I have my mother's immune disorder which caused her to have 8 miscarriages and a stillbirth and the only reason I survived was she was in hospital from 3 months onwards and I was removed 8 weeks early because I wouldn't have survived for any longer. Still, I was born very unwell. So the chances are if I had gone ahead and tried it would have had a sad ending anyway and I know that would have crushed me.

I still feel horribly guilty when I tell people I chose not to have children. It doesn't describe my thought process at all and makes it sounds like I never wanted them when ever since being a child I really did. Sometimes I even have very silly thoughts there is a baby waiting that should have been mine who cries whenever I say I didn't want a child. I think it will always hurt.

D used to get called Prince by some of his friends because he used to be really skinny, have long black curly hair and is quite dark when he gets a tan.

Prince (amongst others) was the soundtrack to my college years.

There was a blind a few days ago that a very religious famous person has been HIV positive for years and on medication. A couple of years ago they stopped taking their med and we're very poorly.
Prince was the main guess due to him being a Jehovas Witness and being ill with flu a few days ago.
I really hoped.it was wrong.
