There isn't any treatment, Melly. They are completely harmless and they can be cut out but the scars are often more obvious than the cysts so they don't tend to do it unless they are disfiguring. The only downside is they itch a lot and burn. You can put a cold flannel over them which helps a bit. Mine are only the size of large spots so removing them would mean long scars for no reason.
Prince is one of the few singers I can still listen to because I have such happy memories from his songs when I was at university. How terribly sad.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

That's poo WaS.
I'm prone to boils (carry the stupid MRSA) so spend forever scrubbing with dettol soap to try and get rid of any ingrowing hairs0 -
Ugh, how annoying Melly! No one knows why people develop water cysts and no one bothers researching because they don't cause any harm at all. The itching can be really frustrating though as can the burning when you lie on them sometimes. They can't be drained because they just fill with water again. Harmless but annoying!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

MessedUp, if you're around, I've been thinking of you!
A couple of days ago, I posted this on a birthday thread for colinw who's panda-mad!
Then I thought I'd have a go at making it, so I printed it out onto light card and got stuck in.
This was the result.......
I thought it looked like a cross between Kung Fu Panda and Hello Kitty, and thought of MessedUp! :rotfl:(I just lurve spiders!)

Awwww, that is adorable Pyxis!
Yes, anything very cold works on water cysts. I shall try to get an ice pack now you have mentioned it because I can use it in bed, a wet flannel makes the sheets wet!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Celebrity death penguin Chyna also died today. She was an ex-WWF wrestler who didnt look like a Barbie and took on the men too. It's very sad because you can trace her downward spiral into bad decisions and MH issues back to being cheated on by her then boyfriend and then being fired because her boyfriend cheated with the boss' daughter. They haven't said, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was suicide
End penguin
Totally not your fault WaS. Unless you're her ex boyfriend.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Hi guys, had a better day today.. the appnt with the endocrinologist went well . l. , I was geared up for a fight to get back on my T3 thyroid drug, but he agreed it was not a good idea to take me off it.That I will only get iller . He said that it an expensive drug which is why my dr doesn't want to prescribe it, but he is going to write to her and offer to share the cost, but I know she will say no, because the practice is not functioning, they don't have enough drs, they have a terrible budget and they are closing the surgery 3 days a week now.
It's made my mind up, I'm going to bite the bullet and change surgeries to a better one. I've had enough of not being able to get a dr appnt and having my drugs cut due to cost. He said if a dr says no, he will take it to the funding panel and fight my case.. Yay! It means that until a dr authorises prescribing it, I won't yet get my dose reinstated, but it looks hopeful. He acknowledged my symptoms of weight gain, severe exhaustion etc are thyroid related. He is sending me for a bone scan because of the premature memopausae induced by the thyroid disease, and to a sleep study to be wired up and observed for insomnia.. I'm feeling more positive today. Still worried about housing, and I had a new carer today who has the same agency as me, she's had rats for 5 years and they won't fix it.. It's made me feel less alone and a perspective of someone else going through a nightmare in housing.
I've got the psychological testing tomorrow at the trauma BPD centre, I'm nervous and a bit manic! Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE0
