  • Mu Glad you are feeling better and missing medication to loose weight is a bad idea. Can you get one of those dispensers for your meds with the days of the week on as you could not remember if you had taken your meds every day.

  • Been thinking recently about going to see somebody about my mental health.

Feel as if it has been on a rapid slide downwards in past 12 months or so. Barely sleeping at night, stress at work constantly, falling out with people more regularly and increasingly irritable. Have a stressful situation to sort in next 2 days (see my thread in marriage and relationships) and also a cannabis addiction which of course is probably huge part of it.. where do i start with it all? I need to see someone as i dont want things to get worse! Any advice or experience would be appreciated!

  • Glad you're feeling better MU and things have started well at the new shop.

Welcome to the thread leighavfc. Can't offer much advice I'm afraid, I struggle with stress too and the only way I have been able to deal with it in the past is to resolve the stressful situation, I never found a coping mechanism that worked for me.

  • How did I miss this thread yesterday?

MU, that's wonderful news and you already sound loads better. Yes, I agree, how frustrating your GP didn't sort you out a week ago. Grrr!

Welcome to the thread, leighavfc - I don't have a chance to read your other thread ATM but will do when I have time. Hope someone will be able to help. In the mean time, take a seat on the virtual sofa and feel you are among friends here!

  • Well this seems like a nice place to be :)

I'm off work currently with depression/anxiety - the anxiety is worse tbh as the Fluoxetine has worked a treat.

I hope it's ok to post here.

GP would be your starting point as that's the gateway to other services, whether support with the stress, or with the cannabis use.

It might help if you couid start to think about what impacts on what. Is work stressful in and of itself, for example, or is work mainly difficult because you're frazzled about the other stuff? Having an idea about the main triggers gives you a starting point for which issues to try to tackle first.

    Oh dear. :(

I managed to unsubscribe myself from this thread, so didn't get to see that people had posted, as the thread didn't show up on my user cp subscribed threads list.:(

I do this a lot, but it's the first time it's happened with this thread.

I had to stop using a stylus on my iPad due to getting an RSI type problem in a couple of fingers, so my fat fingers on the iPad keyboard mean that I keep pressing the wrong thing....... report buttons, spam buttons (which I always cancel straight away!), the wrong letters, and very often, when aiming for 'last' (post) when clicking on a thread on my User cp, I'll press 'unsubscribe' instead, without realising! it's very easy to do that, on the green format which I use.:)

I try to remember to re-subscribe, but sometimes forget, and as I'm in the Arms, and not on the Marriage and Relationshops Board, I never get to see if this thread is bumped, unless I'm subscribed.:(

Anyway, I was shocked to find so many posts since that happened!:eek:

WaS! My goodness! What a shock for you. :( I do hope it's going ok now. You seem to be coping really well, though...... am proud of you. Sorry to hear about WaSp still being out of action. :(

It sounds like your new flat is very nice.
Am a bit worried about you having to change GPS, though, as you had a good understanding with yours. I hope that won't be a problem.

MessedUp! thank goodness you've come through this bout! Sometimes GPS throw baby out with bath water, don't they? Some 'bad' medications do have a (temporary) place sometimes, and aren't always to be avoided at all costs!

And :T:T on your new shop! Sounds like it was a good move!
You're really getting things sorted.......job, debt, medication..... :T

I use those daily containers for my meds, as sometimes I forget whether I've taken them or not.

If it's still a problem, despite using those, you could ask the pharmacist if they can make up those sets for you, where they put each dose into a timed and labelled cell in a pack.....I forget what they're called.

Torry....sorry to hear you're so down, but am not surprised. It is ok to feel bad, you know. :A
How do you fill your days, if I may ask?

And welcome to the new people on here.....Karenkb and Leighavfc! :)
Don't worry if you don't get instant answers to your queries......it can sometimes take a while for people to come up with suggestions, especially if, like me, they have inadvertently unsubscribed themselves from the thread! :D
