I'm sitting back with my popcorn to watch the inevitable interchange where beamerguy continues to argue that black is white always aiming for the last word rather than admitting he got something wrong:rotfl:Totally wrong, the corrected link was for the OP, enjoy your popcorn
@beamerguy ... you do realise, don't you, that the link that YOU posted actually DOES NOT support your assertion that a Subject Access Request (SAR) is part of the FOI Act? That link states quite clearly that a SAR is part of the Data Protection Act.0 -

AS seen in my second post, first one now changed0 -
The bloke responsible for looking after the "charity money" raised from parking scams ( Paul Kelly ) was hailed for stealing it only last month.

I was referring to the link that you had changed to ... i.e. the link currently showing in your posts. I replied to your post AFTER it was changed to show the link it is currently showing RIGHT NOW.
THAT link does not support your assertion. Try reading it.0 -
with out wishing to kick start the last few bits of this thread ......;)
Asda .......
well that was an interesting afternoon .....after spending 2 hrs in A&E to get a tendon snap in a left hand digit sorted ... (football related .... or should I say walking football related) .....we decided to do some shopping in Asda Wigan .....
the keen eyed wife (under private parking inspection training) spotted the first sign you see driving in had been changed by the application of a sticker from 2Hrs free parking to 1.5 Hrs
so ... my interest chip has now been poked ..... look around the car park section we are in and no more alterations / stickers
now this is not a kid / youth prank .... not unless they carry ladders round with them ....;)
I did no look at every sign in the car park ... or at the other entrance ....
so reasoning that it was not Asda 'who dun it' .... I thought why not have a chat with a manager .......
could it be that 'not so smart' are planning a feeding frenzy prior to being sacked ?
who knows .........
OK after being told it would be a big wait for the manager ( I was starting to get peckish after being out all morning)
I settled for a senior supervisor (?) and 2 or 3 other listening staff ......
and asked "why the change "
no idea was the reply
"will you look at ?"
"yes"
OK I will shorten this ......
amongst lots of talk ..... I commented on the fact that I new smart where about to get kicked out / sacked .... and that such dirty tricks where not unknown!
the nice supervisor said something like 'good, we are getting the camera's things to sort out all the football / rugby people so that I can park' :rotfl:
I explained as best I could about the mistake they are making .... and the fact that in all my time helping out on this illustrious forum I had never seen a single complaint ..... re Wigan Asda
we had a nice little chat then about it not being Asda's problem .....
and ... as
yes you guessed it ......
they do not own the land :rotfl:
I informed her that this was wrong and was a well known Asda ploy :rotfl:
I caught the attention of other staff near by when I informed her that staff will now, sooner or later get caught out .... and that management will get a wee bit of flack .....
to say nothing about all the time they are going to spend dealing with angry motorists / shoppers
she looked on in disbelief when I informed her of just some of the ANPR problems
I also mentioned that they may well see me a bit after the changes come in ....
can not wait till I get chance to ask questions re the 'new shiny PPC'
so 20 / 30 min later ... I can talk when on a roll ....;)
I gave it a miss ........
The wife informed me as we approached the veg section that one of the staff has said to her that she had just 'been done ' by Aldi
so yes back to see her ....
sadly she had paid ...:o
£50 shop and a 15 min overstay
so at least I could demonstrate to her the folly of paying and how to be wise with future scams .....
now, hopefully .... she will tell all here friends and family and more importantly other staff of dangers ahead .....
So I doubt that it was a smart scam ....
but I will keep watching ...
can any other Asda shoppers do like wise please .....
OK enough ... time for a medical bottle of Spanish Shiraz .... for my poor finger

She could still appeal quickly and get a refund. PE do refund when people appeal within 28 days and show a receipt, even if the person has paid they can still appeal to PE if quick enough.
Or email a complaint to Aldi with receipt. Should get her £50 back.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
