Leftovers pie in oven. Leftover pastry (or should that be leftovers leftover pastry?!) has become treacle tart made with breadcrumbs that I rescued from loaf ends, blitzed and bunged in freezer earlier this week.0

I make a very cheaty treacle tart. Pastry case, breadcrumbs, golden syrup over the top. Lattice on that then bake.
Starting this month's grocery budget with click and collect on 31st March - not strictly April but fitted in better with my busy week. Am going to try to keep a tally of grocery money on here this month.
Felt like a spendy month so far but really not that bad. Hair cuts yesterday were a nightmare though. DD asked for hers done differently so paid for a restyle and DS1 has gone up an age bracket. Big mistake all round - should have made him go to the barber but he is really funny about his hair and it's not the easiest to cut (quite long, very thick, plus double crown). Total cost including tip £100 for 4 of us:eek::eek:
Learning curve I suppose. Need to check what my annual hair budget was and adjust accordingly.
Also spent £17.80 at national trust place today. £12.80 on tea and cake for 6 and £5 for DD's friend to get in. Had an amazing time but bit cross with myself about the tea and cake. Not sure why we bothered as we had a picnic shortly after and had already refused to spend £2.50 per child on Easter trail. Little bit of me is hoping DD's friend's mum refunds me the £5!
On the up side we're having friends round for a Chinese tonight and I'm doing fakeaway! Egg fried rice, veg stir fry, chicken chow mein, chicken and sweetcorn soup and spring rolls.
Going out for lunch tomorrow and have set myself a target of having a free walk in a different place every day from Easter day onwards until we run out of places basically! Have had 7 walks in 6 days, all different and all lovely. Although car is now full of sticks the kids have collected.
Must get off my behind and start cooking.0 -
100 quid hair budget aint too bad providing it aint that every month loldebts 16550

I originally put in £30 per month for five of us but that was an overestimate I hope. It's about £5 pcm for DH and should be the same for DS1&DS2. Without restyles (I'm looking at you DD) mine and DD's should be £104 per year for both of us. We only go every six months. So total to go in a new accurate SOA will be £23.60 pcm.0
