Hello! It's going ok. Whole family seem to have had a shift in thinking:money:

    Good news includes:
I'll get full pay this month - was worried it would be ssp but apparently not which is fantastic.
I talked my way out of paying in a multi storey car park which saved me £5
We've been having regular fakeaways - DH arrived home with the ingredients to make kebabs yesterday because he fancied a takeaway which is a HUGE change
We have hardly spent anything on petrol in March
    Supermarket budget pretty much ok
I've started doing surveys here and there which is making no real difference to how busy I am but the points are racking up!
I have had packed lunches every day I've worked

I think we're doing ok but it will be slow progress - interested to see what balances look like at the beginning of April!:p

keep at it with the surveys they can take time too add up but when you get a month where you drop 120 quid its worth while

if your spending on fuel my advice sainsburies or tescos and use a nectar or club card

any nectar points can be redeemed elsewhere ie ebay

make sure survey wise your on opinion outpost.co.uk

Sorry I can't see your full username, so I'm going to call you Amazing.

Amazing, what shouts out to me is the way you support your kids, well done you! The rugby tour is so important. I don't know where you live, but I was the first ever female county rugby manager about 20 years ago, for Lancashire. If a family had come to me early in the plan of the tour and genuinely expressed an inability to pay the costs of the tour, but wanted to support their lad, the costs would have been subtly adjusted so that everyone helped the family that was struggling, without a word being said. Does your club/county not roll in the travel/accommodation costs?

You seem to have such a handle on this reduced spending thing, well done you!u

  • We're in a fairly deprived area and the club is not well financed at the moment. I've just told DD about you and she thinks you're awesome by the way!

    All fuel getting clubcard points.

Yes DH is a smoker so life cover is expensive for him - mine significantly less than his. Due a review soon so will see If I can shave a bit more off.

My full user name is The Amazing Shrinking Woman! 2lbs off this month so far.
  • It does appear on the letters but I have previously been too embarrassed. I have no shame now though!

  • Trust me, I've tried. But you really can't make someone do something like that.
  • I cut down from 40 fags a day too five

Then i went onto elites and wrapped in a year later, if i can do it anyone can and i smoked strong fags ie marlboro reds not low tar or lights etc
