Mega hugs to bossy and her little moos.
Sorry for absence. Saw consultant Monday and arranged a new chemo starting next week.
But had to go back to hospital yesterday for kidney function test, in the department of nuclear medicine!!!!!
I was there early, because DD1 could only drop me early. I had to have an injection and then go.for blood tests 2 hours and 4 hours later. Zzzzzzz
I got home eventually and promptly fell asleep for an hour and a half...
So today DH is working from home. This is in no way due to my condition and has everything to do with England's first game of cricket in the world cup.
I had a long lie in today, and have officially done nothing but sit on the sofa. Catch you all tomorrow.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
So nice to hear Back from you CY. And bossy poor, poor you, such a trying time for you all, big hugs xxx
I actually got off my behind and did some things today. DW and WM been on, 4 black bags filled and sent off to charity. Have downsized OHs clothes storage, but am left with three huge woven chests I don't think OH will Want to get rid of?! Trying desperately to ditch stuff as house is full to bursting! Have sorted cook books and eBay stuff, decided what was worth keeping and what wasn't. Have also sorted tea cupboard, definitely don't think I need 5 year old raspberry tea, I think I would have drunk it by now if I was going to.
I know some of you have trouble with your OH's not wanting to get rid of things, how do you tackle this? oH has more clothes than us all put together and shoes.... But he won't get rid of anything, even if the too big and 20 years old?!0 -
Bossy... many hugs for you all.. DS will get through because he has you and some amazing grandparents and he knows it is ok for him to be upset or angry or whatever... and that is the same for you.. we are here if you need to offload!
Missy.. I throw them out.. I don't ask permission, I just get rid.. same as I would thr childrens stuff or my own!

Hi everyone
Apologies for my absence lately. Things have been a bit pear-shaped here. Poor DS has been in a bad way, although some intervention from the pastoral care lady at school seems to be helping. He's been saying some very scary things - poor wee man has so many worries on his wee shoulders.
I still haven't been served notice at paid stuff. Things are just impossible there and my doc has signed me off the last couple of weeks. I'm supposed to be speaking to boss man today, and doc tomorrow, to decide a way forward. There are rumours that notice letters will be out next week - but we thought that a month ago. I have a feeling they want me to resign, to save the nearly 20yrs redundancy paybut I can't afford to just leave. I need to know if being off sick would allow me to renegotiate my notice period. And so on.
I'm sure most of DS anxiety is because of mine - so I feel even crappier that I'm projecting onto him. So im really trying hard to keep things calm.
So that's why I've not been around much. Bl00dy life, eh?
So sorry to hear this. I'm new here and hope you get this sorted soon. Stress doesn't help when you are ill. Big hugs. x0 -
Evening everyone, sounds like today has been a struggle for lots of you. What is it with all this illness at the moment? All the kids seem to be passing things around and no sooner have they got rid of something they get another thing.
I went back to Drs today to get chest listened to, Dr said still creaky but to come back in a week (Tues I finished a 7 day course of antibs as only breathing with 1 lung)
DS managed to make it back to school to appear in his play, which he was very pleased about - nice also to hear him say he wanted to go to school!
I didn't get to too much flying off the list, but I did manage to:
Clear out the old paperwork and wax the bureau so the drawers now slide open better.
Run a hot wash on wm
sweep kitchen floor
Took 5 bags of stuff into school for PTA cupboard
Spent far too much money on door handles for refurb
Not sure what I'll get done tomorrow, I'm on an e-safety course all morning and then watching DS in his play in the afternoon.

Massive hugs to you and your small people Bossy. You've all been through an horrendous time and it's not surprising that your DS is struggling, bless him. But, Pigpen is right, he will be OK because he has a fab-u-lous family around him to help him understand his feelings.0
