YL don't beat yourself up, he will find his way. My OH always said he didn't understand the point of school (no matter what his mum said, he just didn't get it). He 'got it' later, and got where he wanted to be via a different route x[/QUOTE]
Very good point!
I think if you are offering every chance to talk, encourage, help with homework etc then no one can say nowt.
Sleep on it, everything looks better in the morning. x0 -
Nmm- I like to watch those too! It definitely makes me feel better!
I'm struggling to keep up this week! I did the dailies today and kept up with the washing. I also sorted out 5 bin bags of stuff that I had been given for little miss. All clothes sorted into relevant age bands and all toys wiped and cleaned ready for when she can play with them. She won't need any toys until Christmas now!! Hurrah!
Went to boots and a rather dithery pharmacist thought it was milk rash on little miss's face. It looks awful!

Master Moo Hey, chin up, chuck. Your mum's just going through a bit of a rough time with grown-up stuff. Nowt to worry your young head with. You just be the best boy you can be, and help your mum to help your sister be the best girl she can be, and you'll all of you be fine. You all of you cling together and nothing life can deal you will be a big problem.
CY You'd better have those feet up on the sofa, or I shall want to know the reason why!!x
Back online when I can. It's all a bit up in the air right now, but I'm sure we'll get sorted to some sort of a "routine" (or not) eventually.
G'night, all.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Bossy sorry you and master bossy are having a tough time. Hope the pastoral lady continues to be of help. I hope you get your notice confirmed soon X
I lost a lot of yesterday going to hospital with my parents. I intended to paint the boys' room ceiling but sat down and fell asleep. I'm on about my 7th cold since Christmas despite taking vitamins.

Morning all. Hugs for those who need them.
I haven't been posting for a couple of days, but I have been flying. All rooms have had some attention.

Morning all
We've all made it to Friday yet again - well done all for hanging in there.
YL, guessing DS2 is Y10. Lots don't get it at this stage, most turn it around by the following exam season so don't lose hope. Don't beat yourself up about the past (I'm the absolute queen of this) concentrate on today and anything you can do to support and encourage him today. Repeat each day. Does he have a clue about Post 16 yet to inspire him in anyway?
Bossy continued love and hugs, this to will pass for everything always does.
LW you make me smile
Flying - need to clean the upstairs shower
Hoover and wash bathroom floor
Hoover and mop downstairs
Pilates this morning (really not in the mood though), trip to bakers and Mr L on the way home and then driving to the airport to collect DH. Flight is delayed so may have a spare hour to get the flying done. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Thanks Dusty, no and this is what worries me. My very bright nephew went to sixth form because thats what his mates were doing. He hated it and has got into trouble over his attendance. He is just about to finish his two years there and has absolutely no idea what to do next. I know he is not on his own and I can see my DS ending up the same way.
What DS does love and what really inspires him is sport. He is doing a volunteer program coaching younger kids and he loves this. He has talked about being a PE teacher but he is going to have to get decent grades if he wants to do this. Then again last night his science teacher was saying that my son had shown an interest in a career in science!
Sigh. I need to stop blathering on about this and get ready for work. Have a good Friday everyone, fly if you can! I will try and catch up a bit later x0 -
Morning all
Hugs where needed sorry it's a post and run as I'm in work today.SPC~12 ot 124
