Big hugs sweetie you sound overwhelmed, I hope tomorrow is a better dayYORKSHIRELASS wrote: »Have had a disastrous chat with DS about school. He ended up in tears and is now not speaking to me. I tried to be gentle but he refuses to accept there is a problem, even though deep down he must know. Well the fact that he started crying speaks volumes.
And DS1 has just rung, sounds like Mums Taxi is about to pick up a non-paying customer.
YL you tried your best, these things are very tough. Maybe he will come to you in a few days. I too have ust had the taxi text.
Emotionally drained which means I will no doubt not sleep well later.
Lets hope we can all smile at least once over the weekend.
Continued love for Bossy and CY

Quick lurk to catch up, hugs to many are needed I feel.
Very tired now. Good journey down to mum's on Wed (130 miles from uni), drove to funeral Thurs (40 miles x 2 to drop mum home afterwards) then drove home last night. Traffic not too bad at any stage, but I'm so used to sharing the driving with Mr N it was tiring to concentrate for so long alone. Funeral went ok, nice get together in a tea shop afterwards, lovely to meet up with my brother and 7 step siblings (8th lives in Canada).
Put a load of washing on this morning before gym. Ordered church Easter lilies at florist on way to gym. Did Body Attack. Quick coffee with friend then back for a long assessment; lovely man but worked so slowly. Cleared up debris in dining room - papers and books everywhere.
Caught up on emails, post survey, MFP.
MIL has had visits from 2 assessors, a physio, a doctor and the manager of the housing we hope to get her into. Looks promising as there is a vacancy, one person also interested but apparently it goes by need so MIL may rise to top of the list. Board meeting 20 April so will have to wait and see.
Will be a busy week this week; I have uni every day Mon-Thurs, several reports to write, the house needs a good sorting not to mention the garden, my pre-holiday exercise/packing needs and anything else. Lots of Mindfulness needed if I can fit it in.
Happy weekend all.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Dancemum, I hope today is an improvement on yesterday for you. It sounds as if you're going through a really bad patch atm. Big (((hugs))) x
Narc0, just reading your list of achievements exhausts me!
I am pleased to say that my migraine is finally on the wane and the badgers let me sleep a bit last night. I shall need all the energy I can muster today. I was supposed to be babysitting DGS3+4 for an hour or so this afternoon, but when I rang DS2 yesterday evening he said he is really poorly with tonsillitis. DDiL is away at a conference for the weekend, but fortunately I can drop DH off at the railway and go and spend all day acting as nurse, babysitter cook and laundry maid.
Still no flying in my own house! I am just about managing to keep on top of meetings and paper/computer work. Only a talk and one course session to prepare next week, then I get a fortnight's break - with a visit from DGS1+2 to fill 4 days of that!
Oh well, I never did like boring inactivity... :rotfl:
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, with GWS- and posi-vibes where needed. Catch up again this evening x0 -
Right - I've stopped feeling sorry for myself, so here to offer hugs, sticks and spoons to all in need!
Hang in there all you lovelies with chidlers - my sympathies to those who've had carp parents' evenings or stroppy episodes. You're doing a great job x Raspberries to unkind work places and further rude gestures to nasties making flyladies feel ill.
DH has gone into work this morning to help his boss who has sacked a shirker, but is now knee deep without a rubber ring. *sigh* he was supposed to be on holiday this week and it looks like he's going in on Sunday too
Off for a shower sans small people - luxury!
ETA - squawking heard before I made it to the bathroom...three for a shower together then...0 -
Morning all.
Hugs, sticks, spoons, vibes, as needed to all.
Yesterday afternoon/evening I lost to work. After lunch I thought "I'll just sort these books out and get them all in the cupboard" then I discovered there wasn't room in the cupboard due to a box of random work related gibble so I ended up filing paperwork, labelling stock with its price (which meant going through a couple of invoices) and putting it away, preparing 90 odd books, and lots of odd stuff being put away. I had planned to go to Mr A but scrapped that and just made a delivery instead.
Todays plan is to fly this morning with the help of DD, then when she goes out with her dad I'm going for a bath in theory and some me time with my book. Tonight I need to collect a book and then I'm going to do some ironing.
