So...to bring the thread back to reality -received our new Hotpoint replacement yesterday for £59 - as far as I can see the "fluff" filter is EXACTLY the same as the one on the replaced (9+ years old) Creda machine !! The amount of fluff trapped in the back of the old machine and the vent hose was staggering -I see now, Hotpoint are trying to remove their responsibility for future situations by filling the instruction booklet with an endless list of DON'TS -and an insistence that the vent tube MUST be cleaned every two months! How many people are going to heave the machine out from under the units on that sort of timescale ??0

I had an email from Indesit dated 07/02/16, stating they would be in touch within 8 weeks to arrange repair visit.
11 Weeks later and I have heard nothing. The email is auto generated, and so cannot be replied to. What is the best contact number for Indesit0 -
