Why would any future collective switch necessarily involve E.oN? If it did, then based on recent decisions by E.oN, it might not be available to existing E.oN customers.

  • Maybe the new year will bring some better news hahaha

    As for now it's a toss-up between :

So Energy with £10 exit fee with Switch Guarantee
    Or
    Avro with £0 exit fee

But both costing me an extra £140 per year angry face . . .

Going on their current stance -when Hell freezes over!
Malc the EON rep.,seems to have defaulted to the standard argument that ALL the deals offered between Dec.15 and March 16 were "heavily discounted for a limited time" - the implication being that EON have lost money on these contracts - the grown ups in the EON boardroom have looked at their financial results and decided that they are better off without us "serial switchers" I can see them losing 100% of the customers they gained in 2015 and early 2016 :(:(

    Morning Maxwell007.

At the moment, we're not involved with the sale of any collective tariffs and haven't been since July 16. Helena and I aren't aware of anything in the pipeline but, as we've posted before, we're told at about the same time as details are released generally.

Customers signed up to previous collectives aren't affected. These tariffs will continue to the stated end date unless the customer decides otherwise.

Sorry I've not better news Maxwell007.

I confess that I never understood the logic behind a supplier paying £60 to a referral site and then allowing existing customers to switch to the collective tariff for free ( and then claim a share of the referral fee).

From a business perspective, it would make more sense to offer existing customers a bespoke to them tariff which was £30 cheaper than the lowest available to all fixed tariff. Existing customers would be happy and the supplier - if MSE CEC is to be believed - would save upwards of £3M in referral fees. The only loser is the referral (PCW) site.
