Just had a direct e mail from money supermarket offering a great eon collective March deal. Saves me £79 on the October eon us witch offer.
Can switch for free so no brainier. Main saving is on the gas so will cover next winter bills.
Anywhere to get cash Back?

  • Just received the same email.

Gives me a very small saving over E.ON's Fixed 1 Year v19 Online (Electric Only) and with no exit fees to pay for existing E.ON customers the small saving is better off in my pocket than theirs.

Every little helps as they say! :D

Users need to be aware that it is exclusively available to customers who signed up to receive emails from MoneySuperMarket before 5.00pm on March 3[FONT=&quot].

Just checked it out, as been meaning to switch for ages. The MSM Eon comes out pretty expensive for me: £777 versus £718 cheapest, £727 if I go with MSE's top pick... So YMMV.
  • Oddly I'm signed up with MSM but can't access this one - would anyone be kind enough to pass on the link?

I got the email this morning ...but when I do the comparison, no EON deal is listed:o - the "best" deal is NPower - but it only saves £17pa which doesn't cover the EON E.T.C of £60 -and I wouldn't go to NP at the moment anyway :rotfl:

I left EE to transfer to NP and stayed with them for over a year and cannot fault them. I received great customer service and their online facilities were excellent.

I left them to join e.on (who again are excellent) and it was purely down to price.

MSM uses the "Ofgem method" of predicting your future costs (assumes you DON'T switch at the end of your current switch). Use the MSE Cheap Energy Club is my advice.

Cheaper tariffs are coming out all the time now (with lowering prices) which makes it difficult for punters, especially when there's commonly a £30 PER FUEL penalty for leaving.

PS. Scottish Power "Online Fixed Price Energy April 2017 v2 " is best deal today. Get comparing!

I wouldn't be too sure that energy markets have much further to fall. The oil price is stabilising and the Government has just agreed a 'keep the lights on' plan that experts say will add between £10 to £20 to every energy bill. In addition, there is no £12 electricity rebate this year.

The point I was trying to make ,was that the headline on the email was re EON .......BUT NO EON RATE IS COMING UP regardless of how the savings are calculated:rotfl:and as my EHL EON deal runs til 17th Feb 2017 ,the difference in savings between the OFGEM methodology and the practical figures are not large.

    Hi Maxwell007

Yes, as an existing E.ON customer, you're switch will be quicker than if changing supplier. They're usually on accounts within 3 working days of applying. No new account number or online registration needed. Everything else carries on as before.

Also, the exit fee on our Fixed 1 Year version 19 tariff doesn't apply as you're going from one E.ON product to another.

    Hope this explains Maxwell007.
