  • Tooties good luck with your course. I gave up midwifery as I was stressed all the time trying to work, study, support family etc. and I have not regretted it so far. If I ever do I can retrain and go back. They are crying out for more Midwives but anyone who saw that undercover Midwifery programme recently will see how difficult it is to cope with the workload and how it affects the staff. I bet geriatric nursing is even worse as the clients cannot make a fuss easily and are very vulnerable- which means poor staffing and support are even more likely.
Love to all and ((((hugs)))) to all who didn't seep well and those who just need one anyway.
Despite not being in on Froggas challenge I have been encouraged by the posts and have eaten well so far for the last few days, so thankyou

What a day! entire uniform shopping in one hit - £58 from asda for a mountain of uniform and a tenner in works for stationary. forgot about pe kit but middle dd has found some shorts (bum-clinching on her but fine on little dd) and a white t-shirt so that's all good. Can't find her school bag though and she thinks she might have taken it camping but can't be sre - oh well she will have to make do for tomorrow but I will pick one up for her as she was due a new one. I have also fitted the new inner to my bike (I know it's pretty minor but I normally go all helpless and girly if I have to do anything diy-ish so am quite proud.)

Here's to a good rest of the day to you all
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Hi All

Not been able to keep up today. Hope back to school today is OK for you all in England - our kids went back two weeks ago. Having hug behaviour probs in school re the building site etc.

Had a good weekend with DS and partner here. DH and I off to Ireland on 9 November to see them - flights booked.

DH off for his mini-cruise tomorrow. DGS3 took a bottle no bother from me on Sunday so definitely on Granny duty Saturday night for the party they would like to go to. DGS1 very attention seeking, DGS2 has ear infection. DD rather down but said I would give them a night away for her birthday/third anniversary!

    Love and hugs

    Hi all,

Absolutely cream crackered again to-night, did very little to-day...put out washing, put on another load, empty dw, do 30 mins sorting out in my bedroom and then go out to meet SIL for lunch, it is her birthday to-day so met her near where she works.

Head not working well at all, hugs to all in need and congratulations to anyone who is celebrating, welcome to any newbies and best of luck to all starting a new school year.

    Love

    Marie
