Morning :hello:
I'm off work this week :j :j :j
It's not going to be a week of relaxation though - it'll just enable me to queue nice and early for some truly fabulous concerts in the final week of the Proms.
Today I am going to THREE concerts  - the first is one that's not included in my season ticket and therefore I nened to pop off into town and pick up a £5 day ticket at 10am when they go on sale - the other seats are sold out so this is my only hope of a ticket (I would have booked early but didn't decide to have the time off work until it was already sold out). The concert itself - piano music by Bach and Scarlatti - is at 1pm. Then this evening we have the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra with a concert of Schubert and Bruckner, followed by a concert of Britten, Buxtehude and more Scarlatti. All broadcast live on Radio 3 if any of it tickles your fancy:

frogga - I'll join your weight loss challenge - but not until this week is over as it's a lost cause before that!!!!!!
Penny-Pincher!! - I spotted your listings on London Freecycle
Did you know there's also a group for London Borough of Bexley? (it's a bit on the quiet side but worth knowing about anyway).
Must be off, the shower is calling.
(((Hugs))) to anybody who needs them
Love Rzl xx

Morning everyone,
Back down to earth with a bump after our holiday…it was fantastic! I didn’t really like Tenerife much, it was very touristy and everywhere we went someone was trying to sell us something but the place where we were staying was amazing, so we spent most of our time there. We’re used to camping holidays in France so it felt like a mega luxurious holiday to us and we had a fabulous time!
All three kids are back to school today. They should have been back middle of last week and the schools that the elder kids go to really frown on holidays in term time, so I had some creative note writing to do last night. All three of them have been great this summer, and I’ll miss them all very much. The house seems empty already.
Plans for today are to give the house a good clean. I need to make dinner early as I’m out to work this evening. Also ds2 has an appointment at the fracture clinic this afternoon to see when he’ll get the pins removed from his arm…but I won’t hold my breath! Actually I’m secretly hoping that they won’t give us a date, because I’m terrified for him and trying very hard not to show it.
So far I’ve only had a chance to look at yesterdays thread so special hugs to Mrs Mix, anniestar, Kyle and ds, Jackie O, Penny-Pincher and grannybroon. Belated birthday and anniversary wishes to anyone I’ve missed. Especially Mr and Mrs Aussielass…..how the heck has he put up with you for 28 years??

Just going to pour another coffee and have a look around the board before I get on with the things I really should be doing.
Take care all and have a good day,
Pink0 -

Morning All
Off to work in a sec so havent read the thread yet, ((hugs)) or congrats (delete as approriate).
Healthy eating campaign going well so far. Washing is on the line and house is tidy due to spending the day at DSIL's yesterday. DH had his long hair shaved off yesterday so it was like sleeping with a different man last night (for the first time in 13 years)! It quiet a change but hes still equally gorgeous to me whatever his hairs like.

Plans for today are to make cottage pies for tea and the freezer.Put some more washing on, and this afternoon am going to Telford with my sister to return a faulty shower to Argos.

:hello: Morning!
Puppy is asleep so I have snuck in on here for a break. Been up since 6am with her but she made it through night with no mess :j
This getting up early is tiring but great as I have already got the breadmaker going (I'll be blowed if I'm going to spend well over £1 for a decent wholemeal loaf!) the wm is going although everything is safely wrapped in an old duvet cover as the machine is on its way out and leaving black marks on everything! I have a friend visiting this morning so need to find or make some cookies or a cake, don't worry frogga I will exercise some self control or exercise me by playing with the pup when she wakes up!
I have started a "use it up" list on a daily basis now and today I have garlic, tomatoes, runner beans, mangoes and apples to be used or preserved. Just found out that you can freeze garlic so that's a relief as we are loaded down with the stuff! Could keep a whole busload of vampires at bay!
Catowen - glad ds is ok and well done on the football result.
JackieO - Hope your joints ease a bit and you can get a decent nights sleep (((hugs))) love your dgs's countdown to Christmas!
Kathy - so glad the chutney turned out ok, I have to go make the mango one today.
Learning to save - (((hugs))) hope little one feels better soon.
Have a great day
