Hi Annieanniebooklover wrote: »Hi all,
mrs mix you know the old saying - you can pick your friends but you can't pick your family. If my (x)mil made my children cry though I wouldn't miss her and hit the wall, as they say in Scotland. Will you ask DH to have a word with her or is there no point? (((hugs))) to you and your DSs.
dh did manage to get hold of her yesterday and asked if she could phone(as well as asking why she hadn't turned up) but she was busy she has however called this morning and spent all of a minute on the phone to ds2
ds1 is cross and has sat down with his brother and written her a letter saying exactly how they feel and I didn't prompt them it was their choice so we'll see if that p.ricks her conscience
pam xxI didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you

The letter is a great idea, pam. How mature of your DSs to put their feelings on paper for her to read. It might be a good idea to keep a copy of the letter - you never know, you may need it at some point in the future. Hopefully she will feel bad about her actions and try and make amends. It hurts to see your children upset, doesn't it? (((hugs)))"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Hmm, so my local councils proposal of £225 might go down well with you then?
 It does grate on me, because when I used to park on the roadside the kids vandalised the cars. £40 a time to replace wing mirrors and windshield wipers adds up quick, let alone scratches etc! And it's not like you can report it to the police and expect much help.
Well my lose weight/get in shape/avoid the winter blues approach involved a long walk around the hills. 5 miles or so - lost a little on the way too! My thighs soooo ache!0 -

HOW MUCH???!!!!!  I hope the residents are kicking up a fuss! As for vandalising cars, I have mentioned before that its drunk university students who pull off wing mirrors, wiper blades, etc in our area. I'm lucky, most of the people in my part of the street look out for each other so the vandalism is becoming less - its still annoying though."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Hi guys,
Well the trip into town to get tadpoles uniforn was a complete bl***y nightmare!!
They hadn't got trousers in her size or anywhere near it so I had to get them MILES to big and will now have to ajust them , at least they'll last when she grows! They were £22.50!!! What a rip off! Also , didn't have polo shirts in the right size either, the closests looked like a tent it was so big. I had to buy two that were quite snug and she's not impressed, neither am I as they wont last! Any way I know you'll all be thinking that I shopuld not have left it so late but as you know we've had no money and what with Mr Frog not getting paid et.c............
Anyway well done annie for avoiding the Mcdonalds xx Keep it up you're doing well

good evening everyone,
not been around these parts much lately but i have been exceptionally busy of late.
last friday i had an interview at my localish college for a HNC Administration and IT course and was accepted onto it so today was my first harrowing day, everyone in the class is 18 years old im postively a pensioner at 36 but as im young at heart i hope i manage to fit in.
i decided to apply for the course on a whim last week as it has been decided that my job (nursing geriatrics) is causing me a lot of my depression and i thought i would look into alternative careers, so here i am sitting in a class room with 13 18 year old beauties.
well i suppose it gets me out of the house 3 days a week and gives me something to focus on. i also think its part of me putting my life back together again.
regards to all
