  • Morning

Busy weekend, so didn't get chance to post. Went to see DGD yesterday, and I can't believe how fast her face is changing - she is just over 3 weeks old, and is starting to look like a little person instead of a baby :A

Lots of tidying to do today and I have the wm on, but unless the sun comes out, Imight have to use the td :o

Made chutney on Friday, but like my jam, it is really runny, but tastes lovely :rotfl:

Not sure what's for dinner, will go and have a rummage in the freezer later.

Have a good day everyone x

  • Morning Guys!

    Gosh...so many early risers today!

Am just having a cuppa as everyone else still in bed. DD goes back to school tomorrow, so will let her sleep for as long as she wants. Her friend stayed over last night, so thery were probably nattering till late:rolleyes:

I really cant believe that she is going into her second year at grammar:eek:    ....where has last year gone:confused:

The WM is on ATM and will be hung out once done. Toilet has been scrubbed. Today I have a few calls to make and we are getting our post as RM have been keeping it for us-hope theres not too much!!

I also put 3 bikes on Freecycle last night and apparently have people coming for them later. Also decided with OH yesterday that we have loads of bags of bootsale stuff in the garage, but just dont have the energy or time really to do it. So, I have placed 5 bags on Freecycle and they have had alot of interest too. I will sort through them again taking out anything designer for Ebay again. Both lots had basically gone within 10 mins of placing them on there.

Went to see best mate last night who had her baby girl on the 1st Sept. She is so small at 5lb8oz, but she is so cute! OH asked if we could have another one:eek:    .....I said NO:D ....is he trying to kill me? I think he needs a snip before he suggests anymore "good" ideas;)

    Anyway, I can hear movement.

    Hugs to all.

Hi Charlies_mum. I made very successful chutney yesterday following Catznine's Aunty Beryl's recipe. It must be foolproof because I can't believe how well it turned out:
    CATZNINE'S AUNTY BERYL'S CHUTNEY
3lbs apples or any other fruit and veg (plums, marrow, toms)
    3/4 pint vinegar
    1/2lb chopped onions
1 tsb grated orange or lemon rind
1 dessertspoon each (yes, that much!) ginger, curry powder and mixed spice.

Prepare fruit or veg and simmer with other ingredients until tender.

Add 1/4lb sultanas and 1lb sugar and cook, stirring occasionally, until thick. Pot in the usual way. I added half a dozen plums to mine but the variations are endless.

    KathyXX

Turned out thick, spice and delicious!

    Morning all,

Had a restless night as had to go to the loo about 10 times, it's all that bl***y water that I've been drinking! Still it will be worth it I hope.

When I lost all the weight before my GP refered me to the Norfolk and Norwich Hosp for a tummy tuck. I was all booked in a due to have it in feb06 , then I caught Pneumonia ( a common side effect of living in water in winter) and it was cancelled. Then I put all the weight back on. I have been very lucky as they have put me "on hold" until I can loose it again. Can't get more of an incentive than that can you?

For those of you that are quite rightly thinking " what? on the NHS? what a waste of money" I do agree, sort of. The reason they would do it was because I had SO MUCH excess skin it was causing medical problems. At my heaviest I was 22 st and at my lightest 11 st. they rekon I had about 1/2 st of skin on my tummy. It was VERY heavy and it hurt and it was always getting "yucky" underneath. Sorry , not exactly a nice topic for breakfast time! Anyway if they were prepared to do it I wanted it done. Hope none of you think that's wrong.

Anyway another tip , drink a pint of water 1/2 hour before breakfast as it gets your metabolism going and fills you up1 I'm full of good ideas aren't I?:rotfl:

Have a good one all , off to BUY tadpoles uniforms, yes I know it's late , but then we've had money trouble haven't we!

  • Morning all! I don't get a chance to post often now, but I do pop on and read and keep up with you all.
Very autumnal feeling here today - which I love!
Lots to do today. DH has just had 2 weeks off and we were away the first week and odd days out last week. He has gone back to work today and I am really itching to get started on all the cleaning up after him and getting things back to how I want them! Will take DD and DS to library in a while and stop at park. Have lots of bananas going soft (they were special offer so bought several and then kids haven't eaten as many as usual) so trawled here for recipes last night and will be making banana cake and banana muffins later - and freezing some. Can freeze the made cakes too ready for school packed lunches.
Mexican for dinner tonight as it's DDs fave and she has been asking for a while.
Hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs to all.

    Morning All!
Just a quick one from me this morning! DS starts College today, bless him!
I'm back tomorrow after 6 weeks. Where does it go? Still this year I got a lot done at home, which was good. No holiday, OH is working sooooo hard with his new business, we haven't got time. Well, maybe one day:rotfl:

Got to go to town later, get last minute things for sschool. wonder what the little darlings will be like this year? I've got some real little **** in my class this year:eek: I'll just have to knock 'em into shape early. (shame I can't do it literally):rotfl:

DD made me laugh like mad Saturday night. She'd been on duty at the Hospital and had to wash an elderly patient...... she said "I pulled back his bed covers Mum, and had an awful shock:rotfl: This gentleman was able to lift the sheet up with another part of his anatomy, if you see what I mean! She wasn't sure how to handle this, so she had to go for the Ward Sister! I thought it was soo funny, it's not as if she's prudish, or shy, but she didn't know how to cope this time!:rotfl:

Anyway, have a good day all!

    Morning All

Hugs to those who couldn't sleep

I'm going mad. I'm at work and I have enough work to keep 6 of me busy. I've popped on here literally to have a break. One of the websites I rely on for my sport has broken and the email's going nuts. Already had someone in for an interview this morning. So I've got to plough my way through that now.

Ok , breathing now. Calm, in and out. I wish you could see my desk - bomb site

Was up late last night as I wanted to see a film on the tele, so only had 5 hours sleep. Looking forward to going home and back to sleep

    Hope everyone's ok
