    Hi everyone,

I'm doing an AQA test at the minute. Can anybody just give me a few hints with a question? It's one about directions. How can I summarise how to get from brighton to edinburgh in 153 characters?! Just put the main moterways in or something?

    maps.google.co.uk is your friend here.

To get from Brighton to Edinburgh follow the A23, M23, M35, M40, M46, M6, A74, and finally the A702. It is 463 miles and should take 8 hours.

For the test I would pad this out to 150-153 characters. Don't forget they love the "added extra info" bit (the miles and time bit) at the end of every answer if there is room.

Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Thank you! That's been really helpful. Just need to wait and see if I've been accepted now.

Hello there - I've been trawling through the posts on this thread and can't find any mention of the form of payment - do they pay direct to your bank account, by cheque, or some other form of e-payment?

    Many thanks

    GM :)

GM - payment is made via BACS to your bank account.

You are supposed to have a degree for AQA (I'm not sure how strict they are on this though) so over 18s only.

Sent my application in on Thursday, haven't heard anything yet. Anyone else heard anything lately?

I applied a few weeks ago and got the automated email saying the pack would be sent to me. A few days later I still hadn't received it so I emailed AQA. I then received the pack the same day from Romany and returned the test and the application form a day later. Since then I've heard nothing so I emailed Romany to confirm she had received it and heard nothing, emailed Rowina last week and heard nothing.

Yesterday I emailed the vacancy address to apply again and got the automated email but as yet no pack received.
