Well, I do as I am told. The GAP woman told me to, and I complied. I thought it would be an easy job, so I never thought of questioning the wisdom of it.0

Besides, as instructed again, I went to the original installer, who went to GAP who came to me.0

I saw no point because the door is bowed and increasing difficult to lock.0

Well, I am not alone here...
I can assure you that closing the door is quite hard. My kids cannot do it without slamming it (an it doesn't always work) and visitors give up altogether as they are too self conscious to try to force it.0 -
My Rockdoor is a couple of months old and I have already had the fitter back out twice. Gaps on the hinge side and draught at lock. I asked why it does not compress when I pull the handle up and was told they dont???
I shall be contacting them again to sort it out as the draught coming in is unacceptable for a £1200 door.0 -
Update:
My first post is dated 1 March 2016. Now just over TWO YEARS later yet a new replacement for my door has been approved.
The big question is: why is this door supposed to be any different from the two previous ones? I am told that this one will have "full steel reinforcement with mesh", whatever that means...0
