Andrea as an installer i know that if the frame isnt fitted properly hinges and locks not adjusted properly then no matter what door you have wether it be a rockdoor upvc timber or steel you will have problems with warping the door not shutting properly and draughts . If you was in the Greater Manchester area i would of looked at the install myself for you .At this stage i would give your installer a notice to install the new door slab seal the cill and any other issues within 7 days or demand a full refund and speak with fair trades .if you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0

Update:
My first post is dated 1 March 2016. Now just over TWO YEARS later yet a new replacement for my door has been approved.
The big question is: why is this door supposed to be any different from the two previous ones? I am told that this one will have "full steel reinforcement with mesh", whatever that means...
Lets get this right now Andrea you have now waited almost 6 months for your installer to replace you bowed door the person who you contracted to install your original door .
You have continued to call Rockdoor in your posts on a public forum which advocates the rights of the consumer you have negated almost everything i have said , agreed with one time posters on here who make complaints then disappear (never respond to my questioning them)about how bad their rockdoors are . We being installers of Rockdoors for many yeras have a different view of them
Yet after i repeat almost 6 months waiting for your installer to change the door slab have not issued your installer with either an ultimatum to replace your door or you want your money back failing that you will seek legal advice non of which you have mentioned in your posts since march now how do you think that makes you look on a public forum i say again one that advocates the rights of the consumer :money:if you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0 -
After countless phone calls, text messages and emails, this week I have had door No. 3 installed. The cill has been sealed too. Let's see how long it will last this time. Conasidering that if you put a straight edge across you already see a gap of at least a couple of mm I shan't hold my breath.
I was told it is supposed to be reinforced, but I see no sign of it. Perhaps it is well hidden internally... who knows.
Besides, I was talking to a joiner regarding my windows and he told me tat he doesn't touch Rockdoors with a barge pole beacause problematic. He said that as my door is black on the outside it would have to be well reinforced because otherwise it WILL warp.0 -
Hey, I wondered if you could advise. I’m currently having issues with my new door. We’re already on our 3rd door (1st was wrong design, 2nd was warped and now 3rd is really draughty.) my installer encouraged me to contact Rockdoor as Had done all he could for me... etc.. my argument being I’m his customer and he’s theirs so he should deal with it. Anyway, email sent to 3 managers at GAP and response has been acceptable and we were offered a draught kit. However, my concern is that in the email it stated “in extreme circumstances” a draught kit will be offered 🤔 now I’m a little confused as it was a straightforward installation and definitely not an extreme circumstance. The door claims to be a** rated yet my hallway and floor tiles are frozen (this was not the case prior to the door being changed). I also now need to close my sitting room door to keep the heat in.thebaldwindowfitter said:Update:

However my querie was regarding the slight angle/discrepancy in the side to side distance, an extra facing was put under the cill on the outside to make it look straight (at my request as I kept going on about it being squint 🤔).My main complaint is the draught especially at the centre latch (my door is always locked out of habit so I’d definitely engaged). Does it sound like a manufacturing issue or installation?Sorry for my huge msg, any help or info is appreciated. Thanks,

Good luck with that. With my door No. 2 I was given some sort of makeshift draught excluder which lasted in place for a day or two...
My door this time is still there and hasn't warped THAT much, although it is always awkward to lock. It is still slightly draughty, especially where the lock is and near the hinges. But the things that annoys me the most is the bloody peep hole (we have changed at least 4 now) which gets flooded and/or full of moisture, so when it rains or it is cold you cannot see who is outside. What use is that.
I even considered selling the house so I wouldn't have to deal with thaht front door anymore

Oooh fun! 🙈🤣
I don’t understand why it’s so complicated?!@thebaldwindowfitter suggested the original installation may be your issue and I wondered if mine was the same 🤔 the company have been alright at coming back out again and again but... they shouldn’t have needed to come back after the first visit/ installation so as much as I might be a pest as a customer I’m just not getting what I paid for. I regret changing my door at all.Char0 -
In my case, barring the Pope and the Queen, I think everybody has been to see my door, and everybody claimed it was fine.
For me, worst money ever spent...0
