Well I've been ill for pretty much the whole of March so pampering hasn't been all that high on my to do list. i still have a few UUs to declare though.
19) Sanctuary shower gel 250ml. Came as part of the hat box, a christmas present from family. Always does the job WMBA
20) Lush blue skies and fluffy white clouds bubble bar. Fine but nothing particularly special, wmba.
21) Liz Earle cleanse and polish 100ml. Always a joy, this is only second to the Emma Hardie moringa balm. WBA. moving on to the Jasmine and Osmanthus limited edition I've had waiting!
22) Not gone yet but will be by the end of the weekend, Ren active 7 eye gel sample. Came with the pack with red magazine last year. Fine, moisturised my very dry under eyes but nothing particularly special.
I have more INs but will declare those separately once I'm a big more organised.
In the meantime I've also been rather naughty. I have pre-ordered the Alpha H eye cream from QVC, two being delivered next month. My friend bought the liquid gold double pack and has promised to send one on to me. has anyone used it?
I started sorting out my bedside table earlier this week and oh my goodness the number of samples and travel sizes I found in there :-D0 -

I would buy a mini naked palette again. the basics palette is ideal as it is smaller and more portable. I know i will end up with shades that will be untouched.
Would a good quad that you can finish full be a better buy? I feel naked 2 is a little over rated as my lancome quad has better pigments and is very blend-able.
I hate the word dupe but an excellent cheaper version of an excellent palette is from sleek. It is so pigmented and rich feeling. it is well worth a look.
Is the Sleek one you're talking about the Au Naturel? That's the only one I can think of with a lot of mattes. If so, I have that! Along with 7 or 8 other Sleek palettes. Oops! Must dig it out.
I'm also looking into buying a magnetic palette and making my own trio/quad with pans from Morphe or Makeup Geek. That way I will only have shades I know I'll use and I don't think it would work out too much different in price to a UD one.0 -

I have used a body lotion (trilogy) to remove make up as a first cleanser. it was excellent as it worked better than many a purpose designed cleanser. I would be very careful to do this if it is highly scented or do a patch test.
I would try and see if it will emulsify when mixed with water as if there is any detergent it could make a decent shower gel or hand wash or cream bath. If there is no detergent properties to it try mixing a small amount of soap or face wash to it until you get a suitable mix. As the products might split, try a small amount.
If body lotion is not absorbing in did you try oils or less water based moisturizers like body butter. (Then tell the gifters that x, y or z suits really well ahead of any birthdays or the like)
failing that put three lotions in a small basket with a bow and re-gift.
I try and repurpose most things. I saw on youtube where alcohol was used to fix a broken pan of powder. I was going to try on an aldi blusher before attempting to mix 2 half empty lancome blushers.0 -

the one i have was a limited edition at autumn time i-lust. But I saw a fantastic one in the stand I-DIVINE EYESHADOW PALETTE IN A NEW DAY, http://www.sleekmakeup.com/i-divine-a-new-day
it has very nude and wearable colours.
I was a little disappointed with the naked palette. It might be because I can't fit it in my make up box or the make up bag that goes into the handbag.0 -

Thanks for your lotion re-purposing ideas. I've done an alcohol 'fix' It worked well. I got a set of loose powder shadows for christmas a while back - never used them because they were too messy. I found a cheap empty pallette on ebay which came with the metal pans.
I followed a youtube video which said to use rubbing alcohol. I thought that must be an american thing so I used surgical spirit. Mixed the powder with a few drops, put a tissue over a 2p coin and squashed it, then left it to dry overnight. They are still in there a year later and look pretty good. Only-the surgical spirit still reeks and I don't really want it near my eye!! So don't use that. Find the proper stuff! :rotfl:It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'

One UU to report:
Balance me revitalising hand and body wash 100ml- Wnba a nice magazine freebie but won't go out of my way to get it again. I didn't love the smell and I've had cheaper body washes that have lathered up better. I used it at swimming it'd probably make a better hand wash. Thrown into my swimming kit a tesco extracts lemon & bergamot body wash to replace this.
Moved into swimming kit from stash:
Boots botanics body wash mini
Boots botanics moisturising deep clean foam
Tesco extracts lemon & bergamot body wash
John Frieda brilliant brunette shampoo
Tigi catwalk headshot reconstructive intense conditioner

We had the option of using it, so the money wasn't quite wasted, if you see what I mean? We are just learning by having a choice, what we really like.
I'm realising that many of my eyeshadows are v similar, and there are only so many shades of brown that you need!
Two UUs:
A tangerine soap part of a gift set years ago. Didn't smell of anything anymore but lathered up well. More incentive to buy soap and use it fresh.
Clarins blue orchid facial oil - This doesn't really suit my skin I've decided. It was a gift but I won't be replacing it.
One IN:
I found a black eyeliner pencil in my stationary drawer. Which probably means my nephews have been using it for colouring in :rotfl: I've sharpened it and stuck it back in the make up bag!The Benefit powders to take an age to UU and I've got 6 of them (it was a christmas set) including hoola which I use a tiny bit of so I think it's safe to say I won't need to buy a powder for the rest of my life!
My 7 by summer list is:
Benefit long wear powder shadow in call my buff (pan)
Benefit long wear powder shadow in kiss me, I'm tipsy
Benefit long wear powder shadow thanks a latte (pan)
Benefit long wear powder shadow in gilt-y pleasure (pan)
Paul Smith Sunshine (won't UU but want to remember to wear it every day)
Tony & Guy Sea Salt Spray
Any face mask that I buy (I'm terrible at buying and then leaving them sit in the fridge!)
My list is slightly unconventional but I find this is what works best for me. I feel guilty if I don't use them if they're on a list here so I guess whatever works eh!
Hope everyone has a lovely long weekend, we're off to Vienna and Bratislava so I'm sure I'll be reporting some mini UUs. x
Benefit products are probably one of the better value brands then? Emma has lent me her box powders of Rockateur (loving already) and Coralusta (though I think I've read that the colour has changed) to try as she also has the sweet collection. A few years ago she bought me the Pop palette that contained Dandelion, Hoola and Dallas. I'm pretty sure I finished the Dandelion one but then passed it to Emma to use Dallas as I had a full size. She commented yesterday that there is still loads of product in these.
I have Call my buff and Thanks a latte too. Beautiful colours.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

SuiDreams, good to see you again, sorry that RL has been tough, hope that things are on the up for you.
Some UU's:D
200ml OPI Avojuice Grapefruit Jucie. Came as part of a set, have another fragrance. Seemed a bit thin, but absorbed well and quickly. 24.03.16 4/20
1 Laura Geller brown eye liner. Was down to the last ¼” and then the point broke off. WNBA 24.03.16 3/19
15ml OPI matte nail envy (not in figures, reminder to self to finish bottle) 24.03.16
Hopefully I will finish 2 or 3 more things and may re-purpose the dregs of the shower gel which now doesn't match any body lotion.
Nails are Leighton Denny Butterfly Wings, need to choose something new:)
I have a 200ml Avojuice pump on my desk at work - the Lavender one and agree with you about the consistency. The bottle itself has lasted ages though. Has about 1/5th left.
From reading several reviews the breakage on the LG eye pencils is common. Mine broke again this week. Really annoying as it tends to break and land on my face leaving black smudges.
Not that I'm trying to enable but I saw lots of Leighton Denny products on Groupon recently. Also saw a blog about the new OPI Soft Shades today and they are beautiful and unique.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Deleted_User, I'd definitely go for the UD Naked basics. The quality is so good. I also have the Benefit matte shadows mentioned above but think UD do give better colour pay off. I much prefer the UD shimmer shades from the Naked palette on the whole though.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. So I've pulled it out of the drawer along with far too much other stuff and I'm on a mission!
One thing I have an issue with already though...Body lotion.
I get loads of it for gifts as part of sets and I never use it. It just doesn't soak in. I could put on at 7am then when I shower at 9pm it's still there, sitting all streaky on top of my skin. All of them seem to do this and my skin is pretty dry.
I've already given any un-started lotions to the chazzer. I'm looking for ways to use up body lotion in a not-as-intended way!
Maybe soften my leather setee? use it as shaving cream? clean my shoes?! any other ideas? :rotfl:
Hi do you exfoliate your skin? If not, this could be the reason that your lotions don't sink in. I think this is why the Jack Wills hand cream is not being absorbed into my hands as I have not used an exfoliator in a while. I cut the tube open last night and it's definitely gone off as it looked like clotted cream. Am too mean to TA so will use as foot cream still.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
