  • One UU to report:

Lush Fresh Farmacy Facial Cleanser -WBA - This is in a bar but when you rub it on your skin it makes kind of a cleansing milk. It's really calming for my skin but it annoyed me slightly that my bar dried out so much after a while I had to keep it soaked in water to get it to produce any lotion. I think if I bought a bar and used it religiously and stopped chopping and changing, this wouldn't have happened.

This should be the case from now on as I'm now down to my goal of two cleansers! Yay! One make up remover, one general face wash. My current general one is an ancient (I think it is literally 20 years old) bar of Clinique face soap but it still lathers up perfectly and smells good so I'm gonna use it up before I buy any more lush stuff.

I'm really enjoying the emptier space in my cupboards after working on this challenge for the past few months. It's encouraging me to use the products and pamper myself a bit more. Having less choice for the basics makes my life simpler too and not as boring as I thought.

I got that Fresh Farmacy for Christmas and have kept it sealed up until I've finished my 9-5. Good to know I need to keep on it once I start. I'm a chopper and changer too!
Well done on reaching your goal!
It's so nice seeing a noticeable difference isn't it? I didn't think my clutter bothered me but I'm so pleased when I can see a spot of bare shelf now!

Hi all. Really should be getting some sleep but don't feel at all tired so I'm reporting some ins and outs. Ins first. I went into town and my sister asked me to pick up the carrots bubble bar set from Lush. So this happened.
    26. French Kiss Bubble Bar. Had before. Loved.
    27. Olive Branch Shower Gel. Same.
    28. Skydancer Bath Bomb. The profits go to charity so it would have been rude not to buy it!
    29. Twilight Bath Bomb.
I also got a L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Booster in Superdrug as it was better than half price and I did say when I UU'd the last one I would buy it again if it was cheap.

    Couple of UUs:
    23. Primark Madagascan Vanilla Candle. WDBA. I'm quite picky about vanilla scents and this one is so nice, especially as the size I got was £1. Lasted about 8 hours at a guess which I think is pretty good.
    24. Korres Citrus Body Milk mini. WNBA. Think this was from a beauty box. Not very moisturising. Didn't smell nice. I haven't had a Korres product I've liked I don't think.
    Also some GAs.
    2. Rimmel Stay Matte Primer. I really tried with this but it doesn't agree with me. Much prefer the Rimmel Fix and Perfect I bought last week so will pass this onto a friend.
    3. Collection Hot Chocolate Eyeshadow Stick. Compared to Rimmel Scandaleyes and Bourjois Colorband, this just doesn't cut it so it doesn't get used. Have sharpened it down so it's ok for a friend to use.
    4. LA Colours Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil. Same as above

Despite my near constant ins, I'm feeling quite good about this month. I'm making progress on other things I don't bother counting like unscented candles, tealights, deodorants etc. Also cleared out about 50 paperbacks from a shelf on my bookcase today and it's so nice seeing space! I'm going to try and do a shelf/drawer in my room every day this week and be ruthless so there may be more GA and TA before the month's out.

Palette for the week is Makeup Revolution Beach and Surf. It's mostly shimmery neutrals with a couple of bright pastels. Seemed appropriate as the sun is starting to show its face. Also pulled out my two Barry M Showgirl mascaras as I haven't used them for a while.
Hope everyone's had a good weekend. I'm so pleased this week is a four-day one!! :)

Glad that you are feeling motivated by this challenge to decluttering in other areas too. I have another 2 items being despatched via the Bay : 1 cleanser and a CD. The CD buyer could have got it cheaper and brand new on the River site but hey go figure. Have put a few makeup items on a fb page too including the used Bobbi Brown lipstick. Someone keeps posting questions about it at least.

The make up palette ive swapped in this week to compliment Naked is Smashbox Full Exposure which has fantastic transition shade (thanks dolly) and I've subbed my Benefit Dallas for a NARS mini blush palette containing Gilda, Outlaw, Orgasm and Albatross.

I've also run out of tea lights so have pulled out a spare electric tart warmer. Am using this in my hall and burning Christmas Cookie there. Have another electric burner in the kitchen. Burning Christmas Eve there. Burning large jar YC Cassis in living room. Not too keen on it. Burning Wax Lyrical candle in bathroom. Was burning a Liz Earle candle in bathroom but the wick seems to have melted. Think I'll email them about this. Have probably about 7 wax tarts and 2 other candles to use before I buy any more.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

2 UU at work this morning:

Superdrug flirty body spray- WBA liked the fragrance of this. Got plenty of others stashed though to use up so don't need to re purchase but probably will next time I'm in superdrug.

Wilko mango body butter 200ml- Wnba this is old anyway I imagine discontinued. I didn't like the scent so used it on my feet instead. Wasn't particularly moisturising and took forever to rub in.

1 in and 1 UU from the PP list over the weekend.

In of Rimmel Salon Pro Bare Yourself. My MIL bought it for me on Saturday when we were in Boots as I'd said I was going to get a nude colour for my nails.

  • Hi everyone, haven't been able to post recently as I have been struck down with the flu for what feels like an eternity! Seems to be slowly getting better but not what I needed! Think we are all due for a bit of good luck right about now!

No INs as I haven't been able to leave my bed let alone the house but I have accumulated some UUs since the last time I posted:

LUSH Yuzu and Cocoa Shower Gel 100g x2: I absolutely hate this as it smells like coconut which is one of my least favourite smells. Used up as shaving cream in the end but glad to see it gone! WDNBA.

LUSH Happy Hippy Shower Gel 100g: This smelled okay but it was a tad too floral for my liking. WNBA.

LUSH Sunrise Soap: This smelled lovely and the bright colours are nice but it just doesn't wow me. WMBA.

TBS Vitamin E Moisture Cream 50ml: My last TBS product finally used up, preferred the night cream version of this. WNBA.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 10ml: Don't think this did much. WNBA.

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild 10ml: This seemed fine at first but then, coincidence or not, I started breaking out in spots so WNBA.

rdone : well done on your efforts re: the 6 by Spring.

Deleted_User : Glad you feel better. It's a nasty strain of flu/cough that's going around. My daughter is only just over her's after 2 weeks.

    2 more UUs:-

L'occitane Foot Cream. MrM uses this mostly and loves it. Will have to have a trip to the Trafford Centre when we are off next week to replenish.

Nyx La Amarouex mascara. Very nice. Will buy another but probably not this particular one as the wand was very big. Have loads of mini mascaras to get through first though am looking forward to opening (and hiding) my YSL Shocking mascara next.

Another OUT : small tube of Elemise Pro Radiance Cleanser - sold on The Bay.

    Final UU today:

Tesco pro formula hair mask- WBA decent sized product for a bargain price. It does the job well and smells pleasant. Will get again sometime but I've lots in stash to UU first.

I've replaced the superdrug body spray I UU this morning at work with nspa clementine body mist that is only 1/4 full I don't want it to go off and it will go well with the tbs satsuma body butter I have at work for my sleep ins. Might as well make the nspa a UU soon seeing as there's so little product left, then I'll open something new.

My friend ay work yesterday complimented the OPI You Don't Know Jacques colour I was wearing so I gave her the mini bottle. When I first bought this (in the full sized) it was because I would not pay out for the Chanel Peculiare that I really liked so set out to find the perfect dupe. Don't get me wrong because I probably found it however against my skin tone the colours never looked right. It never looks taupe on me - more of a muddy brown. I have however recently discovered Liz Earle Ebb Tide sent to me in a swap by the lively Luna on here and that is gorgeous chocolate brown.

I have two more UUs this morning following my shower:-

Elemis PCMC 15ml. One more shopped from stash.

200ml Hawaiian Tropic body butter. This was gorgoues. I think dolly84 recommended this and I'm glad she did. Do have other body lotions/butters to use but will definitely repurchase this when I see it on offer.
