I mustn't be a good judge of age either as there is a guy on The Chase at the moment (ITV)who I thought was in his mid forties, but is in fact 57!0

Yes, he did look quite abit younger! I thought he was in his 40's too.0 -
People just like to make small talk and generally, They don't know what to say apart from talk about the weather, the bad transport or pick out something about you that looks 'different'
I have a friend who is nearly 40 and she looks in her early 20's! Meanwhile I'm 31 and look more like 41 but whatever.
Lately the only thing people comment on with me is my hair - Or lack of it (I shaved my head on Dec 21st) Even random people I don't know (I work on a reception desk) because I'm female. And we don't randomly decide to do that unless we've gone crazy or turned into a feminist apparently. I even had one woman ask me if I was a military girl!!! !!!!!!? It does get tiring hearing the same thing by nearly EVERY SINGLE PERSON. I've taken to remaining mute or deflecting the question because....it's nobodies business why I decided to shave my head off :mad:Saved so far - £28,890.97

lol have read a few. Yes, a lot can look WAY younger. I used to get it a lot.
My first husband was around 6-7 years older than me. At least 3 people thought he was my dad.
Was around 24 and went swimming with 3 others. They asked me (in front of the others) if I was buying an adult ticket.
I'm 45 now and most guess my age at 30-something. And no, I'm not blowing my own trumpet LOL! I'm very grateful for it! I'm far from bloody perfect and I'd happily trade my fat thighs/short legs for a few wrinkles!

All that the above posts are proving, is exactly what I said earlier in the thread! (And what a number of others have said!) That the vast majority of people look no more than 10 years younger than they are.
Getting mistaken for 19 at 29, getting mistaken for 30-something at 45, and a man who was 57 looking mid 40s! All of this reinforces what I said, that nobody really looks more than 10 years younger than their age; not when you look closely. And most people don't look 5 years younger!
Now the women saying they get mistaken for 19 at 40, or mistaken for 12 at 30-something, or mistaken for their daughter's sister and suchlike, I don't believe them. But someone of 42-45 looking like they are a 30-something, is not unusual.
Any woman who IS getting excited by that though, make the most of it, because once you hit 47/48, your age will catch up with you, whether you like it or not!
I have yet to see a woman over 48 who looks less than 44/45.
And men's age catches up with them not too long after. Most men, when they hit 55/56 will look no less than 48/49.
I'm not saying they look dreadful, and lots of women and men over 50 look OK, but they rarely look more than 5 years younger than their age.You didn't, did you? :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
