I'd hate for anybody to miss the pictures of my darling babies which I posted on yesterday's daily....so here they are again....Dylan is the white one, Teddy the ginger cuddly one...

How do you resize pictures? This huge piccy is going to really annoy peeps, especially Frogga. Sorry Frogga....

BTW Frogga, I am at my fattest ever. I am too scared to get on scales, and the thought of a tape measure coming anywhere near me gives me the heeby geebies. I know how awful I look and how unhealthy I am without having to face the actual nitty gritty facts. So I will be doing your challenge I think, but using clothes to tell me that things are improving. I've got a clothing in my wardrobe which goes through seven different sizes to accommodate my changing figure, so it'll be fabulous to go backwards through them, and to get rid of the big ones as I go along.

Well my lodger has completely messed uo my weekend & she isn't even here yet.
She phoned at 5:05 yesterday for a lift from the station!!! By this time we were in a pub in the New Forest having a meal.
She phoned again at 8:30 this morning telling she would be here today as she's stayed the night with friends wanting to know how to get to Reading. As she doesn't know where she is I was a bit stumped for directions.
She phoned again at 12 to say the trains aren't running any further than Staines due to engineering work, so she's coming by bus & wants me to pick her & 3 friends up, so they all know where she is staying!
I'm now checking out the times of the trains/buses from here to Staines as I don't want to be lumbered with trying to get them back late tonight.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
    Hugs Hester

ANNIESTAR - (((HUGS))) to you. Thinking of you.

HARDUPHESTER - your lodger is behaving disgracefully. How on earth can she think you can just hang around wondering what she's doing or where she is? Hope it sorts itself out, soon, but it won't bring your wasted weekend back.

  • Hester, when she does arrive, let her know some ground rules - that you want some consideration from her regarding expecting transport. And that her friends dont stay over or past, say 10PM when they visit. She is paying you room + board, not a complete nanny service!

    Afternoon folks,

Had a really bad nights sleep - the cat brought in 2 rats and 2 voles then when we kicked him out he jumped up at the window and meowed forlornly until we let him in again. Grr.

The hole in the wall has been made and the gate is screwed in. The granite slab that was in the garden that we are using for a step has been moved into position and the gardener is coming to repair the wall on Thursday :)

Not too much planned today - hopefully OH will go out later as he is doing my head in slightly at the moment. Go to finish the ironing, clean the bathroom, hopefully make our bed up and do some Ebay listings.

So, hope you all have a good day and I shall speak to you later.

Thought it might be good to share helpful ideas about how to stay on the straight and narrow. I always brush my teeth after tea so I'm not tempted to "pick" in the evening , it does help. Anyone else got any?
