N9EAV - There's no way of telling from your posts what you did but, if you've been brave, then, well done. The service will be very moving, I'm sure, but it will be comforting to know you were able to make a difference to a terrible situation

Just to let you know I am not brave. Detective on CID, but trained to work with the victims families of disasters and murders etc. Quite demanding, but rewarding.

Hi guys, not been on the daily thread for sooooo long! Or OS for that matter, I've fallen off the bandwagon as it were. DD had a sleepover at ours last night, so there's six of us in the house. Thought I might do a fry-up breakfast, but just noticed there's only one egg and only one pack of bacon, so we'll be on wartime rations I think!
Hoping to empty our dining room over the next couple of weeks with a view to getting it plastered and decorated, it's looked like this since we moved in eight years ago - the previous owner thought that bright yellow gloss, grey walls with a home-made stencil, glossed on to the walls was a good idea - yuk!!
That's it for now, have a lovely Sunday,

    Hello everybody,

Well the garage sale was a huge disappointment. The stuff that was there should have been taken to the tip. DH & I then went for a walk. I actually had a nap this arv. :o I'm hoping to take some photo's of my veggie garden this week so I will post them when I'm done. Love the pics of the kitties. FB Three we are all interested in PK. :D Pipkin looks a bit uncomfortable in that position. Shouldn't his legs be the other way.

Moiliere No I didn't find it cold last night. :D
    Money-Bunny Welcome to OS. :hello:
9Neav I hope the service goes well. Church twice in one day. You must be a bad boy. :p

Well might go and pull out a few weeds in the garden. The grass doesn't seem to be growing but the weeds are doing well. Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Durrh - now I understand! Not sure if I'll join in - am 11 stone used to be 9.5 stone, but some of that will be digging muscle because I used to be weedy when I did an office job. I think I'll do a measurement version - i.e. get waist back to normal clothes size! Will measure later when I can get tape measure out of room OH is snoring in!
  • Morning Guys!

We got back quite late last night and all are totaly knackered, but I have slept well and dont feel too bad:D

The cottage we stayed at was literaly in the middle of nowhere. The working farm was excellent and they kept everything. The lady took DD in the tractor for a couple of hours and although when she got back all she did was moan (I want internet and a mobile signal!!)...I think some things sunk in;) She had been explained about the difficulties of farmers making money and all the legal gump that has now come into force...and how they are struggling etc because of the big supermarkets. This week has been a real eye opener for OH & I and we have decided that once DD gets back to school, we are going to start living more organic lives...but of course...as cheap as possible:D ...maybe I should start a thread about it:D

My health was quite poor whilst away and had to visit 2 hospitals for treatment but we still got out quite alot. We went to Watchet, Minehead, Taunton and Bridgewater. Found a lovely coffee shop called The Chantry where we had cream teas and HM soups with HM bread rolls. We also found "our" peace of heaven. It was down one of the bendy long country lanes where you dont pass anyone for miles. There was a Ford there. So we stopped and had a coffee/picnic there a few times. OH even recorded it for me as the sound of the water and wildlife was so calming.

Must catch up on the washing today..1 load done already about 3 more to go. House is lovely and clean as cleaner was in whilst away. Have a hospital appointment tomorrow then must make sure DD has everything ready for school on Tuesday.

Hugs to all and hope everyone is OK and had a good week.

    Morning all,

well I didn't binge at all yesterday! I know it's only day 1 but that was a great start. If I can get through 1 week I'm usually OK for a good long haul.:T

For those of you that have asked am I sure there isn't a medical reaason why I weigh so much given the exercise I do ? ~ there is a quick answer, you would'n say that if you saw how much I eat! I'm not just your amature yo yo dieter you know! I am a professional binger and I've been doing it for years so I'm Damm good at it!:rotfl:

I once lost 9 st in 8 months , but then I have also put 9 st back on in less than a year too. You see , I am an all or nothing kind of person. Like my Mum always says " If you going to do something you might as well do it properly!":rotfl:

Hope you all have a good day, by the way I wrote the letter to Mr Frogs old employers so we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Fingers crossed!

anyone else up for it? come on , you know you want to!:T There are no rules. Tell as much or as little as you want. We'll just all give each other support that's all ~ we just mustn't hijack the whole thread or the thinnies will get cheesed off!

One last thing~ to those of you who posted piccies of you cats , I think that was quite insensative of you all! It's very early and I'm hardly awake yet and a large picture of a cat staring at you is not a good wake up call for a frog you know:rotfl: x

    Morning all,

Its very early on a sunday for me, but we are off to do the Bognor birdman today as a team build event for work, I would much rather be off in the woods with the dog, but I have to go, and i do get next friday off in leiu, look out for us on the news, we will be six dancing penguins

Guess who has got to go to Mr T on the way and get a picnic for 25 ? yup me I get all the best jobs, would normally make my own picnic stuff but seeing as work are paying and its sunday i am not going to bother ! willjust buy sandwiches etc.

Some kind of takeaway for tea, as we will not be home till 5.30 then dd is off out to Arundel fireworks with her dad at 6.30, so not a very os day at all today.
Wish me luck although i am not jumping I am 1st reserve, fingers crossed the other two dont drop out.
