    Morning all
Narco I hope you manage to find some type of walking frame, for your mil. Mil used one of those wheeled walking frames with a Shopping bag attached both in and out of the house, someone kindly pointed me in the direction of a wheeled trolley for her to trundle her food and drinks from kitchen to lounge and she now finds that indespensible. It is such a worry when their mobility and independence takes a knock isn't it. I know how you feel.
I'm thinking of looking into getting one of those panic alarms for her to wear incase she trips that she just has to press a button on and it automatically phones us.

My friend has had to cancel this afternoon due to ill health. So I'm going to sit down and watch a film at home which is so much cheaper than the cinema ;) I'll carry on with the laundry as its a bright sunny day with a breeze, but nothing else :p

Mrs MP I use a wheeled trolley for carting things about the bungalow - wouldn't be without it now, it really is the most useful piece of kit! :o

We've been into town for my audiology appointment; got my hearing aid tweaked up a bit, so hopefully "Dotty" and "Poppy" won't sound identical any more (embarrassing, much, when I make errors like that).

Jack was fed and walked at sparrow-fart, and we met several local dogs - he was as good as gold, and said hello nicely. :o

Next task is to drag Mr LW away from his newspaper long enough to help me change the bedlinen. ;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Hi all

Narco must be a real worry for you, hope you get things sorted.

I am struggling a bit with painful sinuses at the moment. OH and DS1 have gone to footie and the poor dog needs a walk but I really cant face the idea. We are supposed to be going on a rare night out tonight too.

DS1 has seen a specialist about autism tests. Since we were referred for these tests last June DS is doing so much better and the specialist says its difficult to say whether he is on the spectrum or not. So now we have to decide whether to continue with more tests or just see how things go. Of course we need to talk to DS about this too.

The dog is now sitting next to me chewing his paw. I really need to get him out for half an hour. And there is hoovering that needs to be done. Might just plod on for a bit then crash out on the sofa for a snooze.

Isn't life complicated enough? Thanks for your wishes. MIL a bit brighter this morning. But just had call from my step sister, aunt died this morning. She was my late stepfather's sister, and it would have been his birthday today. Luckily for her, she apparently woke up this morning, yawned then just shut eyes again age 95; you couldn't wish for a better passing really.

So.......this coming Thursday, my mum was coming up to stay with me till Tues; then on the next Thurs Mr N and I were going to visit a friend. We'll have to see what auntie's arrangements are as Mum and I will go. However the friend we're visiting lives in auntie's town, so I can see some complicated travel arrangements looming.

    In the meantime I have
    -made ginger biscuits
    - emptied DW
    - finished and sent a report
    - filled bird feeders
    - marked an essay
-vaguely tidied bedroom and en suite

I don't believe this. Just had a call from my friend 4 doors down to say she's fallen and thinks she's broken her toe and there's blood everywhere. Of course Mr N has got the car at his mum. I'm not making this up. I'll walk down and see her.

  • Glad MIL a bit brighter narco, sorry about your aunty and hope your friend is OK. Blimey!

Today I have WM x 2, DW, tidied up generally (it is now messy again Grrrrrrr children), paid two bills, swept up out front, trimmed some stuff in the garden (arghhhh garden is awful) walked dog, hoovered kitchen and our bedroom.

Tonight I may do an hour of painting. Got to keep at it x

Ps OH chipped in when I was tidying the garden a bit. We both have slight hoardy tendencies, I am trying to conquer. Anyway I persuaded him to get rid of two of his five (yes five) wheelbarrows. Really, does anyone even need three wheelbarrows?

Oh yes she's a real tough one, more concerned about her 3 dogs and 3 horses. I put an Animalintex (horse poultice) on her and between us we fed and mucked out the animals. Mr N decided he'd rather take her to A&E (there is a big skin split round her toe which is actually more of a concern than the bone itself - as you say, they won't do anything for a fracture) than cook dinner so I've just done the pizza and a salad. BIL has done a fruit salad and is now entertaining his mum, who is now all set with her new frame to go down to his place in Lymington for a couple of weeks.
