Ally - Excellent repair job. I've just read it out to mr f who said 'Respect due'!
CCL- Sorry to hear your partner is having a wobble. I've never suffered with depression, but in my mid-30s, I did have a spell of anxiety disorder & it's bloody hard to get rid of. It never 100% left me, but I conquered its effects on my daily life by making sure I had a coping strategy in place for every situation......also I practised going out on my own, again & again, often multiple times a day, because I knew I couldn't spend the rest of my life safely tucked up behind my front door. It's hard work though, & I do feel for both of you x

Thanks. I didn't fix it with the strongest glue available so I may have to re-glue it in time or solder it, but it'll do for now.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0

            Hello Saturday Savers,
Busy day.....150 mile round trip to visit my parents. The money saving hilights:
*Bought a coffee out but pinched a bit of mr f's flapjack instead of paying for my own cake.
*Did our grocery shopping at the Co-op as I had £50 vouchers from taking out a Co-op insurance policy. We bought everything on our list then made up the voucher total by choosing sensible stuff like chicken pieces, turkey mince, pasta, coffee. We went over by £4 but apart from that have stayed on budget this month.
*Was just pronouncing that the ys section looked rubbish when mr f (gimlet eyes) spotted 3 bags of wholemeal bread flour for 29p each so I had those.
*Lovely lunch provided by Mum & Dad whose 2nd home is M&S Food & Waitrose. Was pleased to see them wrapping leftovers for tomorrow as Mum can be a bit bad for throwing food away.
*Usual eclectic haul of random gifts from Mum: 1 bag empty jam jars, 1 pack Christmas napkins, 1 bundle napkins liberated by Mum from coffee shops, 1 candle, 2 balls fuchsia pink sock yarn, 1 large pile of magazines, 5 vintage piano scores, 5 packets of seed, 2 tins cat food (Mum & Dad worship cat!), 2 books, 1 bottle bag, 1 face flannel, 1 handknitted dishcloth & 1 bag of wadding. I think she starts off with a couple of little bits put by for me in a bag & the collection just sort of grows.
*Knitted 1 cat & just have the tail to finish on another. Will probably cast on another tonight.
*Split 2 loaves & froze as 4 halves. Only two of us & we find this is the best way to keep it fresh.
*Was really glad mr f had topped up with Sainsburys petrol yesterday because petrol at Services while we were driving south this morning was significantly.more expensive.
Ok, fire & candles lit, cat fed......time to get those needles clacking.

            Hi everyone
Ziggy - my thoughts are with you and your family - so sorry to hear your sad news.
It's been a strange old day - my friend has been admitted to hospital as they are quite concerned about how low her white cell count is. Her ds stayed with me until her husband had visited and I'm just settling down for the night now. The doctors think she's just struggling to fight off a virus but we should know more tomorrow.crazy_cat_lady wrote: »
