I used to work in a retail store and if we didn't have a product in stock, we had to tell the customer to order it off our website.
The amount of times the customer said "yeah thanks, I'll go and order it offline then" was incredible.
I know you may get mixed up between "ordering something online" and "ordering something off the website" but this happened atleast 2-3 times a day.0 -

One time - it's once!
Also I've heard this a lot on programmes like TOWIE- "you upset me as a person" - erm as opposed to what? Upsetting you as a tree?!
Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

"End of"
I've never heard it used in real life, only in posts on MSE, so it may be some kind of forum shorthand.0 -
Been reading the thread which means I'm off for a lie down with a cold flannel to just cope with the angst. I have a world of words and phrases I hate !
Narrowing it down is the problem...0 -
I (reluctantly) had to speak to one of our I.T. bods at work the other day.
Of course, he trotted out one of my most hated sentences ever...
"Have you tried turning the computer off and then on again?"
Aaarrggghh!!! (And no, it didn't work. It never does)"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
