My earliest recollections are Back to the Future, Fame, Duran Duran, Bucks Fizz, Yazoo, Michael Jackson/Thriller, ET, Return of the Jedi, Dramarama, Chocky, Dangermouse, The Booktower.
The 70s are non existent to me.
:rotfl: I loved Dangermouse! Was never really into Duran Duran, but I was the biggest Culture Club fan ever! Also Adam Ant and Paul Young!0 -

You aren't a 90s kid, if you were born in 96-99, you are a noughties kid. And as I was born 1977, I was most definitely an 80s kid, not a 70s kid. The time refers to when you grew up/when you were a kid. Like from 6 to 14-ish. It doesn't refer to when you were born.
I am not a 70s kid. I don't even remember than 70s. I was only 2 and a half in when 1980 started! But I remember the 80s quite vividly. As miss moose said: if you're born in 1997 ish, you are not a 90s kid:- you're a noughties kid.
The decade you grew up in, usually denotes what decade 'kid' you are. It's not necessarily when you're born. If you were born in the early part of the decade (like 1971,) then I guess you would, be a 70s kid. But if you were born in 1976-79, you were an 80s kid... I think it depends which half of the decade you were born in.
There is nothing written in stone; it's just general knowledge. (Maybe moreso amongst the younger generations...)
Regardless of age and what you remember even if a baby or toddler you're still classed as a kid. However, it's generally which you feel you relate most to. There is no right or wrong.
For example, one person born in 1979 may love things from the 70s and have experienced them in the 80s and be proud of being born in the 70s so would call themselves a 70s kid. Another person born in 79 may remember the 80s and have experienced and relate to the 80s more so would call themselves an 80s kid. Another may have experienced both and relate to both so call themselves a 70s and 80s kid.0 -

True, it all depends on how people view it I guess. However, I and anyone I've spoke to regards the decade they did most of their growing up in (their formative years) as 'their' decade as it were. Like I'm an 80's kid, and my DH who was born in the late 60's classes himself as a 70's kid.0 -
I'm so happy I was born in 1950 and don't need to get involved in such a silly argument.0

It's not an argument Miss Biggles, it's a debate, a conversation. Different people putting their point of view across of how they view it.
You don't feel the need to get involved, yet you still have to comment! :rotfl:0 -

Tea is after lunch, but before dinner, and consists of sandwiches and sconesAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Brekkie, lunch, tea if dinner has been eaten at lunchtime, and dinner if lunch was just a snack. Clear as daylight
Basically if you have potatoes it's dinner whatever time of day!Never again will the wolf get so close to my door :eek:0 -
